Very clean and well managed centre that is open and welcoming. Great place to take 5 mins out of your busy day to reflect and cool down on those hot summer days {or warm up in winter}
I’m following the Taravih prayers online from Japan - absolutely beautiful recitation I actually look forward to it! There are no masjids nor other Muslims where I live so this is proving to be very beneficial. Keep up the good work and may Allahswt reward all your efforts immensely in this life and the next. Ameen.
Beautiful and clean mosque, clean toilets and Wudu area, parking available on the side and back of building , separate sisters praying area
Masjid Al Azhar – A Beautiful and Welcoming ASWJ Mosque in Belmore Masjid Al Azhar is one of the nicest ASWJ mosques in Sydney, located in the heart of Belmore. It provides a peaceful and welcoming environment for worshippers, offering five daily prayers as well as Jumu'ah (Friday prayers), which are well-organized and attended by a diverse congregation. One of the key highlights of this mosque is its dedication to Islamic education and community engagement. There are regular short lessons in the evenings, covering various aspects of Islamic knowledge, along with activities that help strengthen the community. Additionally, the ASWJ Islamic College is conveniently located next door, making it an excellent hub for both worship and education. The mosque also provides a dedicated female prayer area, ensuring that sisters have a comfortable and private space for their prayers. The wudu (ablution) area and toilets are clean and well-maintained, contributing to a pleasant experience for worshippers. Although on-premise parking is limited, ample street parking is available nearby, particularly on Lucerne Street and Seymour Parade, making access to the mosque relatively easy. Overall, Masjid Al Azhar is a fantastic place for worship, learning, and community connection. Whether you’re a local or visiting, this mosque offers a spiritually uplifting experience in a well-maintained and welcoming setting. Highly recommended!
Love praying in congregation here as the recitation is beautiful. The sisters section is reasonably sized and can be entered from the side of the main building. There is parking on the site of the mosque but it is quite limited.
