The December holidays are just around the corner! You know what that means...Time to fill your time with the best activities SG has to offer ?And if you're looking for things to do besides the annual Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay, we've got just the list for you.

To help you plan your holidays, here are 10 new and fun things to do in Singapore this December 2021!

1. Enjoy handmade crafts & bakes with Curbside Crafters

Curbside Crafters is a new, curated lifestyle marketplace that you’ll absolutely love. Launching on 4 and 5 December 2021, it’ll be running year-round in a three-storey heritage shophouse. How charming!?

Enter and be greeted by rows of pop-up booths with local businesses showcasing their handmade crafts. From handcrafted soap bars, candles, earrings, sticker illustrations, pouches to calendars, you’ll definitely walk away with something unique.

P.S. If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t want to miss out on their bakes and drinks! From blueberry muffins by Bootleg Brewbakes to chai tea by Muslim-owned Chai Queen SG, there’s something for everyone. 

Support Singapore’s local crafters at Kampong Glam along North Bridge Road and bring home something of your own!

2. Catch 'em all with FishX!

A Singaporean pastime, this local activity has been passed down through generations. Having noticed the dwindling local fish population, FishX is now holding beginner-friendly workshops! Catch all the fishes you can...with a twist.

FishX is encouraging anglers to fish sustainably, and they've got workshops on how to on selected dates in December. The best part? They're kid-friendly! Children under the age of 12 may participate as long as they are accompanied by an adult. It's being held at Bedok Jetty too, so it's super convenient for any Eastie.

This programme is currently run by Marine Stewards, so share this with your family members for a fun but enriching time with FishX! P.S. Early bird discount ends 30 November, so remember to book your spot ASAP ?

3. Enjoy a Shophouse Staycation

If you are planning your next staycation, make sure you include Heritage Collection on your list! It's got hotels in the liveliest spots in SG, and always has halal food nearby!

Check out their latest addition to the collection, Heritage Collection on Boat Quay. Recently opened in August 2021, this beautiful shophouse hotel overlooks the Singapore River. You'll definitely have the perfect picturesque stay. It's even got delicious, halal food for all to enjoy in the same building!

And if you're looking for somewhere a little more central, then Heritage Collection on Arab's rooms are definitely the way to go. Yet another newly opened shophouse hotel (1 November 2021) by Heritage Collection, you'll get to experience the charm of Masjid Sultan and Arab Street right at your doorstep!

4. Kiztopia Jumptopia

From 19 November 2021 to 2 Jan 2022, head to Kiztopia for Jumptopia's Holiday Village! Perfect for children, this activity will definitely fill your day with fun and excitement.

With over 15 giant bouncy castles for kids of all ages, Jumptopia: Holiday Village also has craft activities, IG-worthy spots and exclusive merchandise for anyone of any age to enjoy. Definitely perfect for any family who wishes to spend quality time together!

5. Navigate Mazes & Jump In Ball Pits With Otah & Friends!

Camp Stardust at the National Museum of Singapore has 4 unique forests for you and your family to explore! Otah, Singapore's lovable otter, joins you as you navigate dark mazes, climb through rope courses and jump into ball pits with this original arcade game.

And as you adventure, look out for Singapore's National Museum's plants and animals! Made up of paintings from the William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings, this collection of 477 watercolour paintings will definitely enrich the family as you explore the forests.

Then at the end of it all, celebrate your day at the campfire ceremony with Otah and Friends!

6. Dive into art at the Gallery Children's Biennale 2021

This year's installation features works surrounding a new theme, ''Why Art Matters!'' With immersive and interactive artwork installations, this art exhibition for kids aims to inspire young minds and transform a child’s understanding of the world around them. With activities for kids from infant to 12 years old, it's the perfect family activity.

You could explore 'Home In Nature' with your baby! Adventure through a series of sonic responses by LittleCr3atures that are inspired by nature. For ages 4-7, dabble in shadow matching, colouring, and other creative art pieces. In 'roll a picture', kids get to explore how to weave two pictures together with

the help of technology and a few magazines!

7. Step Into A Video Game!

Have you ever been so absorbed in a video game you wish you could live it? The immersive, virtual world that video games create can make us feel like we are the main character in our very own digital world.

And if you ever want to experience that in real life, ArtScience Museum has the exhibition for you!  From now till 9 Jan 2022, Virtual Realms has 6 interactive exhibits, aesthetic backdrops and beautiful worlds. Perfect for families with curious kids or anyone looking to spend some time in their very own virtual world!

8. Experience Tropical Snow

Wish you were enjoying a winter vacation right now? Visit Canopy Park for a taste of winter and experience snowfall at the “Meet The World at Jewel this Christmas” event from 19 Nov to 3 Jan 2022! Catch the snowfall at Canopy Park and Shiseido Forest Valley at intervals between 6pm to 11pm daily. Get your cameras ready because you’ll want to capture this magical experience!

You could also head to Shiseido Forest Valley and take a trip around the world by visiting iconic landmarks from France, South Africa, China and Japan. With beautiful set pieces of iconic global landmarks juxtaposed against the lush greenery of the Shiseido Forest Valley, combined with snowfall, you are in for a treat!

9. Ice Skate At CHIJMES

From 5pm to 9pm everyday till Jan 2 2022, head over to CHIJMES to experience ice skating! Located at CHIJMES' mini lawn, this ice skating experience provides you with a beautiful view of the historic building. What a magical experience!

All you have to do is head down and rent a pair of skates ($5) and socks ($2.50) before stepping into the rink. If you're an experienced skater, you may also bring your own pair of skates! Do note that only hockey skates will be allowed, and not figure skates.

If you're new to the sport and in it for the adventure...No worries! Rent yourself a seal skating aid ($5) to help you zoom across the ice with your loved ones. And to be extra safe, rent a set of protective gear ($5). Consisting of a helmet, knee and elbow guards, you'll be safe while having fun.

Definitely a whole new experience to try out with your loved ones!
