They've just released their annual Asia's Most Influential list, showcasing a list of amazing people that are contributing to society. It took them a good part of the year to research and refine the list down to 300 people. With big names across Asia, among the Muslims that are in this list are Yuna and Dr. Amalina Bakri! Yuna

With critically acclaimed albums and collaborations with singers like Usher, Epik High, Pharrell Williams Tyler, the Creator and Jay Park, Yuna is one of the most successful Muslim Malaysian singers in the competitive US music industry! Her name is no stranger to the industry and having paved the way for Asian talents, she is now coaching home-grown artists under her own record label, YYR.

Dr. Amalina Bakri

Dr Amalina Bakri is a prominent Muslim figure in Malaysia and having still hold the record of 17 A1s in country's national exam since 2004, she is a big inspiration to many youths. She graduated from Edinburgh Medical School with a medical degree and a degree in pharmacology. Later, she did a sub-internship in Harvard Medical School in the US, followed by a two-year housemanship in Cambridge while concurrently completing her Master's degree in Translational Medicine and Therapeutics at Cambridge University!

She is currently pursuing a PhD in surgical innovation and breast cancer using wearable activity monitors, which are aimed at achieving better patient outcomes. She has a clinical research fellowship from Imperial College London and funding from the National Institute of Health Research.

Professor Dato' Dr. Adeeba Kamarulzaman

Internationally renowned and most sought-after expert in HIV and AIDS, Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman is among the most acclaimed infectious diseases experts. She is the former dean of University of Malaya's Faculty of Medicine as well as an adjunct associate professor at Yale University. She's dedicated her career to combating HIV transmission among injecting drug users and was the first Asian to serve as the president of the International AIDS Society. Since 2021, Dr Adeeba is a member of the WHO's Science Council too, a high-level scientific advisory group that provides leadership and advice on scientific and technological advances that impact global health.

Datin Vivy Yusof

Datin Vivy Yusof is the co-founder of one of Malaysia's fastest growing companies, FashionValet and the famous fashion label, the dUCk Group. She is a successful Malaysian entrepreneur and has a huge following for her fashion label. dUCK has a few stores across Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and recently opened the opulent flagship store in Bangsar, KL complete with a salon, cafe and shopping area.

Dato' Fadza Anuar

Husband to Datin Vivy Yusof  and CEO of FashionValet, Dato' Fadza Anuar is one half of this power couple. Tatler Asia says that under his leadership, FashionValet expanded exponentially in revenue and customer base with secured clients from all around the world. Along with his wife, he successfully established physical outlets for FashionValet in major shopping malls across Malaysia, Singapore, Jakarta and Brunei.

Tengku Ahmad Irfan

Tengku Ahmad Irfan is a 23-year-old piano prodigy and it's no surprise he's in the list of most influential people. He has appeared around the world as a pianist, composer and conductor and The New York Timespraised him as eminently cultured and possessing sheer incisiveness and power”.

Not only is he a graduate from the prestigious Juilliard School in New York with a double major in piano and composition, his career as a composer garnered him three ASCAP Morton Gould Awards and a Charlotte Bergen Award with performances and premieres by orchestras such as the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Peoria Symphony Orchestra and the MDR Simfonieorchester.
