Merdeka 118 is owned and developed by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) - one of Malaysia's leading investment management organizations, which is why the building is also known as PNB 118. It will also feature 118 storeys, hence the moniker PNB 118.

Here's the breakdown of what Merdeka 118's precinct will consist of:

  • 83 storeys of Grade A offices
  • 17 storeys of a Park Hyatt Hotel
  • 18 storeys dedicated to lifestyle offerings (more on this below)

Once completed, it will beat out the Shanghai Tower in China (632m) and take its place as the second tallest structure in the world. The Burj Khalifa in United Arab Emirates currently holds the top spot at 828 metres.
