Have been here many times over the years for their different formats of worship. Have always been blessed by their sessions and thankful that a precious place like Penhop exists.
Recently I went for their Friday night burn but it was very disappointing. It was a dedicated time for worship but kids (2 boys and 1 toddler) were allowed to run around the entire room and scream throughout the whole session. It was very disruptive and disturbing to say the least. I observed very minimal supervision of the kids' running and shouting, which was sadly ironic, given the notices asking adults to refrain from conversation and to turn their phones to silent mode.

You wouldn't allow kids to run amok in a court session or surgery room where important processes take place, so why would you allow kids to do the same in a prayer room during a worship session? Isn't worshipping God more important than these? Kids don't know better but it's not too early to teach them that prayer and worship are not the right setting for running and shouting. Let them play in a playground or at home- but please - not during worship. There's a separate and appropriate time and place for both play and worship. I hope and humbly beseech the parents and Penhop to consider taking appropriate measures to allow both kids to play freely elsewhere and for worship to happen in a more appropriate setting befitting of God's glory.
