Masya Allah, this mosque ranks up there as one of my favourites. The staff are friendly, the imam is loud & clear, the prayer hall is large. The environment in & around is very calm. For parking, you can find limited lots street-side but you can also find more at the Springside private residential estate.

Built-in 1955 as a surau for the kampong of Jalan Ulu Seletar, this mosque was known as Surau Nee Soon Jalan Ulu Seletar. By 1961, it became a mainstream mosque due to the contributions made by former Member of Parliament Mr. Ahmad Ibrahim who made most of the significant upgrading and major improvements to the surau beginning in 1959. Today, it has a silver dome on the top of its minaret that overlooks the nearby Springside landed neighbourhood. The nearest bus stop is served by Spiritual Grace Presbyterian Church where you can catch bus services 167, 169, 860 and 980 connect the mosque with Ang Mo Kio, Bukit Merah, Sembawang, Springleaf MRT and Yio Chu Kang.

This old generation zinc-roofed mosque located in the North part of the island serves the religious needs of Muslim living and working in the vicinity. History: Masjid Ahmad Ibrahim was built in 1955 and sits on a Temporary Occupation License (TOL) land. It was then known as Surau Nee Soon Jalan Ulu Seletar and its first Imam was Imam Hj Katsir. In 1959, Ahmad Ibrahim, Member of Parliament for Sembawang Nee Soon and Labour Minister, helped upgrade and improve the facilities of the surau. In 1961, the surau was upgraded to the status of a Masjid to meet the growing number of Muslims in the area. In a vote for a change of name for the Masjid, the name of Ahmad Ibrahim was chosen to recognise his contributions to the Masjid. The first Friday prayers was held soon after in that year. Over the years, various other improvements were added to the Masjid, enhancing its capacity to a congregation of around 1,000 people. How to get there? Patronised Masjid Ahmad ibrahim this Ramadan 2025. Old setting but comfortable enough for prayer. They even have a prayer room for breast feeding mommies & those with pre-schooler kids. One suggestion:: the divider partition at main hall between Muslim Muslimat need to be changed to a better one.
