The place to go in Shanghai for replica products. Fairly sizeable mall with small stands selling mostly clothes, watches, electrical trinkets. Definitely not as bad as people make it out to be. There will be bargaining and you will make some good and some bad deals. We paid around 15-25% of their original asking price, it's all part of the process and they're good sports about it, it's never personal and if you don't want to buy it then walk away. They will try to convince you to go in their stores but there was no following or nagging us, we strolled around for quite a while. Some brands or higher quality stuff is in secret rooms or hidden in compartments/roof. Basically only expats and tourists go here.

You can buy a lot of interesting things for little money. The trick is to negotiate with the sellers and you can lower the price several times.

First tip: don’t buy from the first shop you see—take a walk around and get a feel for what things are going for. Prices are way inflated at first, so whatever they ask, aim to go at least 60–70% lower and start negotiating from there. It’s all part of the game, and honestly, the shop owners are pros at it. Don’t take it personally—it’s like a sport, and they respect you more if you play along. Be friendly, have fun with it, and you can walk away with some great deals.
