Mega Donki store with 8 floors Tax free at the very top 7th floor. It can be a little chaotic, but plenty of checkout counters so it goes reasonably quickly. (Don't forget about the extra discount from the website like I did!) Basement 1F is where I go for all the rice balls, bento boxes, breads, fresh groceries and fruit (gorgeous strawberries), and snacks! I went to this Donki at least once a day, if not 3x for snacks and rice balls and ice cream as my hotel was across the street. Pro-tip: if you're shopping for flavored Kit Kats and don't need the pretty souvenir boxes (1000+ ¥) and would prefer the bagged 7-12 ct, head up to the 2nd or 3rd floor. The bagged ones are generally 299-599 ¥ instead and stack better in a suitcase. Otherwise, there is a Donki Annex across the street (Dogenzaka-dori 道玄坂通), on the ground floor. They have all the snacks and Kit Kats without the crowds. Try to not listen to the song. It'll get stuck in your head for days... Then you'll be visiting the store daily like I did!! March 2025

MEGA Don Quijote is a must-visit megastore — not just for the sheer size (this one has 9+ floors), but for the insane variety of things they carry. Skincare, snacks, alcohol, souvenirs, toys, bags, stuffed animals — you name it, they have it. It’s the kind of place that feels overwhelming in the best way. Perfect if you’re short on time and need to grab souvenirs or random goodies before heading home. While the prices aren’t always the cheapest, the convenience and selection make up for it. It’s chaotic, colorful, and uniquely Japanese — and honestly, just fun to wander through.

A shopper’s paradise in Shibuya! MEGA Don Quijote is absolutely massive 7 storeys of non-stop shopping, and the craziest part? It's open 24 hours! Whether you're hunting for souvenirs, snacks, cosmetics, electronics, or quirky Japanese goods, this place has it all. It does get super crowded, but that just adds to the energy and excitement. The best part for tourists: the 7th floor offers tax-free payment, which is a huge bonus. Definitely a must-visit if you're in Tokyo and love a good shopping adventure!

This place has 9 floors and pretty much everything you can think of, and more. You’ll find skincare products, food, groceries, toys, clothes, electronics...basically a bit of everything. They also offer tax-free shopping for tourists, which is a plus. Prices are quite standard, not too cheap, not too expensive. It’s definitely a good spot to visit, especially if you’re not sure what to buy but want to take something home.

This is one of the biggest Don Quijotes in Japan, and it offers almost everything imaginable on 7 floors of goods from souvenirs, cosmetics, unique toys, fun snacks and drinks, clothes, wacky electronics, Pokémon plushies, adult toys, camping equipment, and so much more. And best of all: they offer suitcases to pack all of your purchases in! Not just exclusive to this location, but be prepared to be elbow to elbow with tons of people. This place gets packed! I couldn’t even really take pictures inside because it was too crowded. This store definitely caters to tourists as they offer pricing with and without Japanese customs but you have to spend I think it was around 5000¥ to get the better price. Not that that’s hard to achieve here. The queue to checkout can be long as well, sometimes taking half an hour just to get out if it’s really bad, so keep that in mind to help budget your schedule. The best part: open 24/7! We visited multiple locations but this was the biggest and best one.
