The Signature Chocolate was a little diluted. However the Marou Mocha was really good. Also their Cashew Muffin ??? Have yet to try their ice cream though. Will have to! Also tried their Ham and Cheese Croissant. Not... well... not great. They did offer to warm it up for me though.
Marou Xuan Diệu is an absolute treasure for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for fine chocolate. I tried their tiramisu, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The balance of flavors was perfect—layers of velvety mascarpone, delicately soaked ladyfingers, and the rich, deep notes of Marou’s signature chocolate came together in a dessert that was both indulgent and refined. The use of high-quality, locally sourced cacao elevated the tiramisu to another level, giving it a uniquely Vietnamese twist that you won’t find anywhere else. The texture was spot on—light, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth, yet satisfyingly rich without being overwhelming. Each bite felt like a celebration of craftsmanship and flavor. The café itself is cozy and welcoming, with a modern design that complements the artisanal experience Marou is known for. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, clearly passionate about the products they serve. Whether you’re a fan of desserts, coffee, or simply exploring what makes Vietnam’s chocolate scene so special, Marou Xuan Diệu is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their creations.
Maison Marao's Tay Ho branch is a true haven for chocolate aficionados. With an extensive selection of premium, artisanal chocolates, it's a place where every bite feels like a luxurious indulgence. Whether you're enjoying rich truffles or decadent chocolate bars, the quality is unmistakable, making it clear why this spot is so beloved by chocolate lovers. Though the prices are on the higher side, the products certainly reflect their premium quality. But what really sets this place apart is not just the chocolates – their muffins, cookies, and croissants are equally mind-blowing. Each baked good is fresh, flavorful, and made with a level of care that shines through in every bite. For anyone with a penchant for fine sweets, Maison Marao Tay Ho offers an exceptional experience. It’s well worth the visit for those looking to treat themselves to some of the best pastries and chocolates in the city.
Croissant is very good, buttery and flakey without being oily and they make it fresh there. I tried the signature chilli cinnamon chocolate as well but it was too sweet for my liking although the flavour was certainly interesting with a good spicy kick from the chilli.
@marouchocolate is a premium chocolate brand from Vietnam and if you happen to be near one of their physical cafes @maisonmarou then I highly recommend to pay a visit! All the chocolate desserts were super delicious (and the shredded chocolate croissant too!) and I bought some fancy bars back to the States as well. This particular location has a studio where they offer classes, too. Super cool!
