Long before it became a food and shopping destination, the Galleria was known as Hay’s Wharf. Hay’s Galleria is known today as an area for eating, drinking, working and shopping Past: Built in the 1850s, Hay's Wharf took deliveries from ships from all over the world, and the area became known as the 'Larder of London'. The great Hay's Wharf complex has been restored to its former glory and those who visit the Galleria today stand on the same spot where the tea clippers from India and China edged their way into the dock 150 years ago. The atrium reminds us of a large, old-fashioned train station but it houses a mixture of of corporate offices, restaurants, shops, and a pub

Situated near London Bridge station, this revamped 19th-century wharf blends historic charm with modern amenities. The glass-vaulted arcade buzzes with visitors enjoying riverside views of the Thames, HMS Belfast, and Tower Bridge. By night, the illuminated skyline adds a magical touch. The centerpiece is The Navigators, David Kemp’s 60-foot kinetic sculpture resembling a ship with moving oars and water jets. The spacious atrium houses cafes, shops, and occasional markets, though some find the retail offerings underwhelming. A scenic, historic venue perfect for photos and casual dining, but temper expectations for shopping or festive events.

Sitting on the terrace we were amazed at the sight of Tower Bridge opening, first to let out a cruise ship and then again to let a navy frigate in which was then moored next to HMS Belfast. Great afternoon

Lovely riverside shopping arcades with cafes and restaurants in spacious lofty atrium. It’s a great example of modernised historic architecture with a huge modern kinetic piece of art at its centre. You get a great view of H M Belfast from the Galleria and a topical London skyline of ancient buildings surrounding by soaring contemporary buildings such as the ‘grater’. You’ll get a great riverside dining experience at Cote Brasserie.
