“Walking around Chinatown is like going back a century or two into history. Tourists can walk, rent bicycles or motorbikes, or even take a trisha. There are temples, mosques and even a church from that period. There are clan houses to visit and admire. A more recent feature would be the street art comprising murals and steel sculptures. And not to forget the very many food stalls, coffee shops and restaurants you will find.” “I am bias about this beautiful Georgetown. It is my birth city and a town that is full of great memories, yummy foods, history and heritage architectural design buildings. A must visit world UNESCO's town .”

“If you're looking for a fantastic place to visit with a group, ESCAPE is definitely worth considering. It's a fun destination where you can enjoy activities with friends and family. Both wet and dry attractions ensure everyone has a great time. A few points to note: outside food is not allowed, but there are A&W kiosks inside, along with a Costa Coffee vending machine and a pool bar. Be prepared for long queues to the rides, especially during weekends and public holidays. If you have posture problems, make sure to read the warnings and disclaimers before getting on any attractions. However, I must share a word of caution: if you can't swim, avoid venturing into the deep pools. The lifeguards aren't always on duty, so safety should be a top priority. Despite this, ESCAPE remains a wonderful spot for a group outing, filled with memorable moments and plenty of fun.” “Had an amazing time at Escape Park in Penang – one of the best outdoor adventure parks I’ve ever been to! We played for 5 hours and still felt like it wasn’t enough. Highly recommend spending a whole day here if you can. A few tips for first-timers: Bring mosquito repellent – there are a lot of mosquitoes, especially near the forest areas Wear closed-toe waterproof shoes – I forgot and had to buy a pair inside for RM30 Lockers are RM15 per use, so travel light if possible Make sure you check out the attractions that broke Guinness World Records, especially the world’s largest tipping bucket – it’s massive and so worth the wait to see it in action. Really impressive! Great place for families, friends, or anyone who loves outdoor fun and a bit of a thrill.”

“We had awesome time in this hotel. The staffs are all amazing. From the time we check in till check out, everything was excellent. Bani who is at the front desk staff is an excellent guy, very helpful and cheerful. He went to extra mile to make our stay comfortable which we appreciate it. Kiran, the security guard from Nepal is very helpful too. Cheerful person. Evelyn from the F&B is very courteous and good at her job. Zabidi from the conceirge is very helpful too.” “I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Cititel Penang. The hospitality from the staff was superb — they were always friendly, helpful, and made me feel very welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel’s location was also very convenient, close to many attractions and good food. Overall, I truly enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back. Thank you to the team at Cititel Penang for a wonderful experience!”

“The experience of taking the train up and down the mountain is very interesting. From the top of the mountain, you can see the whole of Penang very beautifully. It usually takes about 1 to 2 hours to visit all of this place.” “Weekdays are not crowded. Very pleasant walk along the Habitat. David Brown restaurant was good. Went up May 2025. There's quite a bit of construction going building a cable car station and a commercial block.”

“A nice place to relax from the city buzz.. Simply relax, watch sight, good scenersnies and silence .. Penang is like a old world charm. There are modern buildings as well, yet old I'd still maintained. Life is much laid back there. Lots of tourists from across the world. Some places are made dirty by some careless tourists like casual littering. But overall a good weekend getaway. There are many places to visit from nature lovers to history, all can enjoy. Loads of cuisines to try. Just plan a weekend and extend few more days, 5 days or a week would be better. Simply recline, stroll, click pics, feel the vibe, dont dirty the island and go back with beautiful memories , relaxed mind and lungs filled with oxygen.” “A very wonderful place to go to for a holiday. Be it with a loved one or together with friends. Food here is abundant and really good. A lot of sight seeing. Nice night life. Shops for days. Wonderful beaches. However of you are thinking of safety. Don't go alone. Better in groups as this is still a 3rd world place. Shisha beside the beach with a Starbucks in hand. Visiting the mountain on the love bridge. Going to the wonderful shopping malls. A place worthwhile with the right people.”

“The restaurant ambience is very nice. They have a very creative selection of drinks. The food we had was too oily though and tasted average. The drunken tiramisu is really very drunken as in we could only taste the liquor and no coffee at all.” “The service and price is reasonable the waiter give good recommendation of their signature food. Halzan truffle carbonara nicely done and taste delicious.blueberry basque cheesecake is yummy nice texture not too sweet. Red Jasmine tea caffeine free my favourite will recommend friends to this cafe”

“Overall, it was a good place to stay. The rooms are very clean, and we had a great view overlooking the Bay Area. The service was a real mixture from exceptional to very poor. The front counter staff did all they could to make your stay enjoyable and did all they could to help. Unfortunately, the housekeeping was well below what you would expect from this level of hotel. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier or if the staff just didn't want to be there. Breakfast was part of the stay and plenty of choices, so we enjoyed that part of the stay. Location waz fine as a grab was only 25rm to virtually anywhere you wanted to go. We enjoyed Port Dickson more.” “Our experience at this hotel, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. The first room we were assigned had a noticeable water leak coming from the bathroom near the pool area, which was quite inconvenient. The door was very difficult to open and close, making it unnecessarily frustrating to enter or leave the room — something that should not be overlooked by maintenance. Additionally, the in-room safe deposit box was not functional, which was disappointing given that such amenities should be standard and reliable. We are grateful to the management for responding promptly and relocating us to a room with a sea view — this was a much-appreciated gesture. However, the issues did not end there. The pillows provided in the hotel is somehow mismatched: one was excessively soft, the other extremely firm. We were surprised to learn that the hotel has a strict policy against exchanging pillows for more suitable alternatives. Oh, and there’s clearly a water ponding issue in the shower area. After every shower, we were left with no choice but to manually wipe the floor ourselves to prevent slipping — a task no guest should be responsible for. For a property that positions itself as guest-focused, this lack of flexibility and attention to comfort was disheartening. We sincerely hope the hotel takes this feedback constructively to improve the experience for future guests.”

“Place is quite tight / small. Stairs to the top floor is narrow and steep (not suitable for elderly). I personally like spacing since the pandemic. Tables are too close to each other I fancy. Food is fairly good. Price is pretty reasonable. Service is fast and staffs are very approachable. Location is strategic. Parking limited but close by to a private car park. Nevertheless, give it a go!” “A hidden gem in Georgetown. A cozy small cafe with delicious food and drinks. I ordered mango tango and it’s marvellous to have during hot sunny day. We ordered pasta and grilled chicken black pepper. The food was well prepared and the presentation looks appetising. If you wish to have a nice lunch with your loved ones, I recommend you to have it there. There is a parking place near by The Table. Thank you for the amazing experience The Table crews!”
