74 Beach Rd, Negombo 11500, Sri Lanka
Good food. The onion rings great, as good as I have tasted anywhere. The beef burger was good. The beef patties were a little dry, but the fried egg gave the burger some moisture. Decent prices. I went at lunch time and the only person there so atmosphere was a little quiet but the garden is a nice spot. It's set off the main road which is nice, keeps it quiet.
We stayed at the B&B and ate at the restaurant. We arrived at 7am and the owner was very kind and let us check in earlier (with extra fee which is fair!). It was perfect for us who had travelled overnight with barely enough sleep. For dinner, we ate at the restaurant and the food was really delicious, we took the seafood platter and it was amazing. The portions were generous and we ate so much that night! 10/10 experience!
On the first night of our Sri Lanka trip, we had dinner here. We didn’t know yet it would turn out to be the best food of our entire journey. The restaurant is right on the main street in Negombo but hidden in a backyard, so you can enjoy your meal peacefully away from the traffic noise. The food is authentic, and the team makes sure dishes aren’t too spicy for tourists (unless you want it!). They even have a separate vegan menu. We loved it so much we came back on our last day before departure. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, and prices are fair. A must-visit for anyone wanting authentic Sri Lankan cuisine in a great atmosphere in Negombo!
This was our very first meal in Sri Lanka and we could not have chosen a better place. After reading some positive reviews about this place, we found ourselves in a little backyard surrounded by palm trees and signing birds. Such a peaceful and tranquil place. We came here for lunch and chose Thai green curry and spicy peanut noodles, I think, both of which were freshly-made and so so delicious. They actually have quite many plant-based options and first I was rather indecisive about what to have (Thai green curry, coconut rotti or maybe vegan fritters?). If we are in Sri Lanka again, we will definitely revisit the place and try out the rest of these mouth-watering meals!✨
Yaaga is a lovely, family-run backyard garden restaurant (mostly outdoor, some seating covered) with amazing food (including stunning veggie and vegan). The owner started talking to me a bit and inquired about the food. I had a pumpkin soup and paratha with chick pea stew which was really delicious. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place.
