My fav restaurant so far in Negombo! Yummy whole foods, heaps choice of salads, bowls and drinks as well! Grab a seat in the front garden surrounded by greens and Buddhas … there S definitely an atmosphere here! Well, I have to say you re not gonna eat with locals here, almost only tourists there, but I would say it feels so good to have a break from rice and spices somehow! If you re vegan, this is the place to be mate! Some gluten free options as well on the menu! Staff is so nice and efficient! Without these guys for sure, this place wouldn’t be the same! Highly recommended!
What a vibe this place has. Best restaurant I’ve visited in a long time. Really enjoyed our meal watching the sunset and thunderstorms. Owner is South African chap and a real character who has definitely created his own zen space to host meals whilst enjoying the dogs and ambient dance music which isn't pretentious or gimmicky. The food was great, we tried all the starters which were excellent, lasagna was top tier, burgers were great and was hoping to try the pizzas but the oven wasn’t working unfortunately. I look forward to eating here again.
Greetings from Poland! We visited the place a month ago and liked it so much that for the next day it was obvious where we go for a coffee. The chocolate tart was delicious. You can feel welcome the moment you step through the door. We've bought a ground coffee there and just opened it to remember a good time we've spent at Zen Cafe. Definitely, we can recommend trying it. For coffee people it may be worth mentioning to use a machine. It's an espresso one so after grinding, it was really fine almost powder so the water drips through Chemex a little bit slow, but still possible. French press will manage. Turkish coffee turns really good. Cold served got you an extra flavour. Take it and keep your memories vivid. Cheers!
Such a lovely place with great ambience and service. Nestled among plants and fish ponds this really is a zen place. For us as gluten- and soy free vegans (!) it’s always difficult to find good food while travelling but that wasn’t a problem here! We had some lovely Buddha Bowls and fresh passionfruit/pineapple juice. Healthy choices!
This place truly lives up to its name Zen cafe Hidden Gem! From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food were all amazing. We absolutely loved our experience and will be coming back for sure. 100% recommend to anyone looking for something special!❤️??✨ animal lovers must visit ??
