Exquisite! This place is in a fancy cultural heritage house. When we went, it was really quiet and peaceful. I took a bunch of photos of the menu because the food looks like artwork. We ordered a tray with rice in jasmine water & a bunch of things that you’re supposed to mix with the rice. The presentation looked like artwork and it was pretty good. You feel like you’re taking a deep dive into the Thai culinary experience. Like it’s more than just food. I also got the Khao Soi which has crispy noodles, it was a bit small, but super super good. Then we got the mango and sticky rice, which was phenomenal & amazing presentation, also, a few cakes that were much better than other cakes I’ve had. I really recommend the cake because it’s different from other cakes and really good. The milk tea was good also. I would really like to come to this place once a week, until I’ve tried everything on the menu. The last thing I can say is a lot of the dishes are under ฿200, which really blows my mind for this caliber of dining. I’ll definitely come back here.

Absolutely superb! The best meal we have had in Thailand in 3 weeks. High end experience with a culinary experience that will blow your mind. The flavours of every dish was so creative and the flavours to die for! Service was excellent and the building has a great story. Tricky to get to but once you drive into the driveway, there is parking for customers. Not to be missed, this is a hidden gem with a secret Chef!

Food: 5/5 Came here for a birthday dinner. We ordered the deep fried dough with savoury filling, the blue flower steamed dumplings, Khao soo and ‘chicken’ with cashew nuts, as well as a coffee and peanut cheesecake for dessert. All the food was exceptional and beautifully presented. Special mention to the deep fried dough - I would love to know what the sweet dip it came with was, as that was delicious. Portions were slightly small. Service: 4/5 We were greeted a little oddly when we arrived, almost like we had stumbled upon a private residence and they weren’t expecting people to come there. Once we’d clarified we had a reservation, we were shown to our table. I felt overall the service could have been a bit friendlier and less awkward. Our server didn’t speak enough English to give recommendations or details (eg whether a dish was very spicy). Server also took a while to come and take our order but after this, the food came out fairly fast. Atmosphere: 5/5 Beautiful heritage building and set back from the main road in its own little oasis. Table settings with crisp white tablecloths and fresh orchids were also gorgeous. We felt the music didn’t seem to fit the ambience and location (ie Thailand).

I had the pleasure of dining at Vegan Mahanakhon while visiting Thailand, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. This fully plant-based restaurant is a true gem — not only for vegans, but for anyone who appreciates thoughtful, flavorful food. The space is small and cozy, with a relaxed, casual feel. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful in explaining the dishes, which was especially appreciated since it was my first time there. The menu offered a great variety of Thai-inspired vegan dishes, all beautifully presented and packed with flavor. I tried several items, including a fragrant curry, fresh spring rolls, and a stir-fry with tofu and local vegetables. Each dish was well-balanced, satisfying, and made with fresh ingredients. The portions were generous but not overwhelming. What impressed me most was how flavorful everything was — rich, spicy, and complex without being heavy. It’s clear that the chefs know how to bring out the best in plant-based ingredients. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality. Overall, Vegan Mahanakhon is a must-visit for anyone in Bangkok looking for delicious, nourishing food. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in town.

Extraordinary food and flavours. Would say best Thai vegan food. So many options. For starters suggestion is to go for the platter. Get to taste most of their starter dishes. They don't serve alcohol.
