Very interesting and educational experience in Bangkok.. some fascinating specimens. Photos aren't allowed for good reason - respect. Thai folk are v spiritual. Anyone who chose to take photos against these rules and posted them online, as curious as they are, are grade A tw*ts. There are two sites - the main museum is on the 2nd floor and has 3 rooms - you pay here. (beware: the Forensic Medicine Room has v gruesome photos on display as soon as you walk in). And the 2nd site, the Congdon Anatomical Museum on the 3rd floor of the Department of Anatomy building where you can put belongings into lockers. Some displays could do with updating with English translations but tbh I'm not holding it against them.. we're in Thailand and they don't owe English to us. Take the blue ferry (Chao Praya Express Boat) for 30B to Prannok for a lovely scenic journey then it's a 10 mins walk from the ferry port. The area around the ferry port also has a really cool market with lots of places to eat, drink and buy clothes.

A little hard to review this place. It’s very informative but you need a strong stomach to go here. There is actually 3 museum and they cost 100 baht each. Free for Thai. All three museums have some interesting stuff but lots of dead bodies and babies in jars. So if you don’t mind seeing that this place is for you. It also has a bit of a hospital smell. I’ve added some pictures of the exhibit that are appropriate but not of the dead bodies inside, just be warned! Some pictures are of the other two museums, my favorite was the boat museum which has the largest wooden boat ever found underground and also no dead bodies at the boat museum

Extremely impressive complex of several specialized museums, including four (general medicine, pathology, forensic, parasitology) in that very same location. Very informative, bilingual, however, I don't think general visitors should find its display interesting and appealing, as some parts of it may look pretty shocking to those far from medicine, forensic or crime investigation. Photography is strictly prohibited inside museums. My photos shown here were made from museum entrances.

This museum is an experience that you will not find anywhere else. There are pieces of hundreds, maybe even over 1000 dead people displayed here, showing all kinds of ailments and tragedies such as the effects of car accidents, murders and such. There is also an exhibit on parasites and deadly animals and one on deformed babies. The exhibits have not been updated in a long time, it looks like everything was put there 50 years ago and has just been left since then. This adds even more to the macabre and unsettling tone of the place. Many of the exhibits are displayed in Thai only and it seems to be intended mostly for medical students rather than casual visitors and tourists. However, if you are interested in the strange and unusual, it is a must-see. For an extra 100 baht admission you can also see the Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum, which is about the history of surgery and medicine and is a much more typical museum presentation, as well as a preserved wooden boat which was unearthed during the construction of the museum. These are presented in Thai and English and are modern, well done exhibits, although the surgery exhibit is quite dry if you’re not deeply interested in the study of medicine.
