A lovely cosy minimalistic vegan food place in the vicinity of the temple. Highly recommended to visit if you'd like to experience vegan versions of its m*at counterpart, especially after a supposedly holy visit to the temple! The service members are lovely, polite, and embrace the Japanese culture of respect. The set meal comes with a soup, rice, pickles, and salad - they are made of simple ingredients but tasty and healthy. The cake is also freshly made and very delicious to end off the meal. While the costs are somewhat higher, it's still worth the experience. Thank you, Vegan Eat Tokyo!
I had ordered the Lotus roll option of the menu 1. I had loooked this up online and was so looking forward to trying! It was surprising from what I may have expected. I enjoyed the souo as first course very much, also the mushroom and vege in mustard sauce were interesting. The rice was my second favourite. The main dish ' patty' had a consistency where it came undone creamy almost liquid when attempting to cut to eat although this was a new texture it was flavourful for sure. It was accompanied by very fresh lovely vegetables. I liked the honeybush tea and felt very welcome when they invited me in, invited me to a spacious table so generously, and served me water right away thanking for the wait as customary but very kind. I enjoyed the service so much. Will return to try more. I recommend!
So happy to find a vegan restaurant in the area we were exploring in Tokyo! The karaage was absolutely beautiful—crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sandwich was really tasty too. As you can probably tell from the photo, I was so excited to dig into some proper vegan food that I forgot to take a picture before eating! I even tried a lemon beer (I don’t usually drink beer), and it was delicious. Great service as well—friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Friendly staff that speaks English. Ordering was easy and the waiting time was less then 10 min. The restaurant is located in a side street of a busy touristic street but the value for money is far better then other places we visited. Food was fresh and tasted good.
