Some of the best Italian food we've had regardless of the menu being completely vegan or not. Everything, and I mean everything, was delicious, gorgeous, beautiful, spot on, well good, you name it, the food was IT. The radish steak was noteworthy as well as the zeppolini, marmellata pizza (madness how good the vegan cheese was) and panelle. Definitely worthy of a visit. Best vegan pizza I've had.
The pizzas and pasta were delicious. The dough and tomato sauce especially were the best I've tasted in many years. The pasta was as good as I can remember it was in Italy. The atmosphere is sweet and reflects a personal touch. The service was excellent even though it is a one person operated restaurant. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable!
I'm still thinking about these pizzas 2 weeks later... ? Quite possibly the best pizzas I've ever eaten! My partner & I visited one evening (quite late) but sadly when we arrived there was a sign outside saying they'd closed as they'd sold out of food. So, we returned the next evening (earlier this time) & the restaurant was full. We asked if we could return in 30 minutes & if a table could be saved for us when somebody left. Success! Our persistence paid off. Sukhasana is run by just one guy, who does everything himself from taking the orders to cooking the food & cleaning up. The food is well worth the wait, I promise you! I'm not usually a big fan of the crust of a pizza but I did not leave one crumb on my plate. The crust/base was light & full of flavour. The tomato sauce - OMG. It should be bottled & sold because I've never had a tastier pizza sauce. Honestly, this is some of the best food we had during our 3 week trip. I would give you more than 5 stars if I could. ?
If you are looking for a vegan+ allergy friendly option and enjoy Italian food, this place is for you. Really enjoyed our dinner here. Everything is fresh and home made. Hats off to the chef who is alone in the kitchen.
This was in my top 3 dining experiences. We started with the special: Smoked potatoes. I’ve never eaten something that made me feel that good. Followed by a pepper pizza, the pesto was so fresh and the tomatoes were so sweet. I enjoyed a sake and soda that had the most interesting flavour profile. I think I’ll have to return tomorrow night to try more of the menu. Compliments to the one man ran show.
