We had lunch here on Chinese New Year. It was my first time at this location. They had a special new year menu. We ordered the longevity noodles which were very tasty. We also got the chopped cheese spring roll which was pretty interesting. It was like a crispy meaty spring roll with a cheesy dip. I've never had a real chopped cheese before so I can't compare but I imagine that's what it tastes like. General Tso's style vegan chicken was delicious and tasted like classic Chinese American comfort food. Service was excellent. My non-vegetarian family enjoyed this place as well.

I don’t usually eat at vegan restaurants but the food and drink I had here were pretty tasty! The Thai iced tea was delicious! Was surprised how flavorful the food was and the dishes we ordered had the right amount of spice to them. The ambiance was really nice and the music was great. The staff were friendly and fast with everything. Great place for a quick meal and relaxing atmosphere!

We had high expectations after reading that Spicy Moon was recently ranked apparently the third greatest Chinese restaurant in America. Now we know why! We ordered about 15 different dishes and drinks and honestly nothing fell short of WOW. Make sure you start with the crispy eggplant and taro fries which are MAGIC! So many other must-haves including vegetable fried rice with tender vegan meat that's packed with flavor. Generous portions too! The Spicy Moon beverages are the first we've found that are actually creative concoctions and not just glorified juice. The mango moon and Thai iced tea were just jaw-dropping. There was also an exuberant fundraiser for a dog rescue group, that featured actual adorable dogs on site as well as performance art that brought a smile to our faces. All the servers are chill and professional. The prices are refreshingly reasonable for NYC. And otherwise the atmosphere is vibrant with artwork and uplifting color. Seems to us Spicy Moon is a contender for the number ONE Chinese restaurant in America!?

I heard about this place on social media and it did not disappoint. Everything we ate was incredibly flavorful. The dan dan noodles were the all time favorite at the table. The general tso’s tofu was also perfect - not at all too sweet. Be prepared though many things are spicy, but you can ask your server for lower levels of spice. If you’re into spicy food though, this place is highly recommended! Will definitely be back.

Husband and I came for dinner on a Thursday and it was quite busy! Delicious food, great service and cool atmosphere currently with fun lunar new year decorations! We love the Brussel sprouts, crispy eggplant and veggie fried rice! My husband really enjoyed his vegetable wonton in chili oil! Husband also enjoyed his moon dance ipa beer and five spice old fashion. No step to enter. Individual gender neutral restrooms down flight of stairs.
