50, Janpath Rd, Atul Grove Road, Janpath, Connaught Place, New Delhi, Delhi 110001, India
Pros: 1. Excellent Dosa ( I ordered Onion Rava Masala Dosa) & Set Thali 2. Good ambience 3. Overall consistency in items served Need to improve: 1. Drinks had too much sugar, needed to be cut down 2. Quantity of Badam milk was roughly 100 ml for nearly 100 rs 3. Too busy staff and extreme wait times
So authentic restaurant with great service and good atmosphere. Their chutneys are mind blowing. You will feel real authentic South Indian Food taste and culture in Delhi.
Saravana Bhawan in Janpath is one of the best places in Delhi to enjoy authentic South Indian cuisine. Every visit here feels like a flavorful journey through the southern states of India, and the food never disappoints. I absolutely loved their Rava Masala Dosa – perfectly crisp on the outside with a delicious, well-spiced potato filling. The Mini Thali is another great choice, offering a variety of South Indian dishes in one plate, ideal for anyone who wants to try a bit of everything. One of my personal favorites is the Dry Fruit Masala Dosa, a unique twist on the classic, with a subtle sweetness and richness from the dry fruits that makes it stand out. Dahi vara is the best starter!! To top it off, their Mint Cooler is incredibly refreshing – the perfect drink to balance the spices and keep you cool, especially on a hot Delhi day. The service is prompt, the ambiance is clean and family-friendly, and the food quality is consistently excellent. Whether you’re a fan of South Indian food or trying it for the first time, Saravana Bhawan at Janpath is a must-visit. A fulfilling meal here is not just food—it’s an experience.
Looking for authentic South Indian in Delhi? This is the place! Saravana Bhavan brings the true taste of the South with every bite. From real banana leaf servings to incredibly comforting sambhar and chutneys (with unlimited refills!), every dish reflects simplicity and tradition. The staff—mostly South Indian—are extremely polite and warm, adding to the homely feel. It’s not a fancy place, but it’s full of heart and flavour. Definitely value for money. ⚠️ No reservations—so be ready for a long wait, especially during peak hours. But trust me, it’s worth every minute. A must-visit for dosa, idli, and all things soulfully South Indian.
