One of the best Japanese restaurants in Christchurch. They have variety of whole-food vegan choices that are delicious. Friendly staff and nicely decorated interior with Japanese tastes. I chose to dine here for my birthday and absolutely no regrets!

Quaint place at Cathedral Junction. All the food was delivered hot and delicious. The beef was tender. The chicken cooked to perfection. The tempura could have been crispier, but was a nice mix of vegetables and seafood. Would eat here again.

We had a few dishes that were awesome! The sashimi was just on point. We really enjoyed the signature cocktail—it was the best cocktail I’ve ever had. The waitress was very nice, attentive, and kind. He had an amazing haircut, which I couldn’t compliment at the time! There were a lot of people waiting for a table. We could see the tram passing by and returning. We read that, apparently, you can bring your own drinks if you pay a fee, which was very interesting to us.

Food: Tasty, the best dish that we had was the bento with unagi. Price: Expect to spend at least $40 for decent portion. Ambience: fine dining with thick Japanese culture Overall experience : great

Absolutely amazing food and place, staff are very polite and helpful. The food is absolutely amazing and by far the best Japanese restaurant in Christchurch to my opinion.
