We found Raja Bali restaurant in a lovely, secluded location close to where we were staying in Nusa Dua from google Maps. It is just back from the main street, away from the hustle and bustle. What a find! Beautifully prepared and presented Balinese cuisine, which was served by friendly and warm staff. We came back the next evening for the cooking class that we saw advertised for something fun to do! The training kitchen was well laid out, very clean, and a perfect environment for learning. Endra and Ade, the chefs training us, were very patient and good communicators, taking us through the different processes for each dish. At the end, we were very proud of our efforts and finished the evening enjoying the food we had made, looking out into the lovely gardens with a beautiful sunset overhead. Great overall experience and would recommend to anyone to experience authentic Balinese food. Thank you, Raja Bali team! ?
You need to turn from the main road and walk a short distance through a darkish alleyway. Do not be put off! And… Wow!! Our last night and Bali and this place is AMAZING!!! True authentic food, good vegetarian options. Staff are fantastic and the prices much better than this at the hotel and yummier!! If I knew this place was here I would not have eaten anywhere else!!!
We took a cooking class here and it was a great experience! We made vegetable curry, chicken curry, potato fritters and crepes. The chef and helper were very patient and the food was delicious. My friend and I made enough for our husband's to share at the end. The staff took pics and videos for us. It was very hands on. Highly recommend!
We came for lunch and enjoyed it so much we booked for Dinner. As it was a Saturday evening they had an impressive performance that they just have started doing. The service and atmosphere were excellent. They made us feel like VIPs setting up a special table under the tree. One of the highlights of the trip The food was plentiful and good value
The set menu was a great choice for trying a variety of local dishes. About 70% of the food was insanely good, while the rest was a bit overcooked—especially the lobster. The staff were lovely, and the dessert was spot on. Probably a bit too much food for two people, but we enjoyed the experience.
