Very cute small restaurant, one woman running the whole place. We got three dishes and they were all divine. The eel was most surprising, it tasted so good and the seaweed mimicked the fishy flavor and skin. The kaarage was so crispy and well seasoned. The mapo tofu was very good too, not too spicy. The gyoza were giant and came with dipping seasonings. There are many pamphlets of information available about veganism and videos playing calling for human and animal rights.

Totally worth going out of the way + checking for opening times. One of the best meals we had this trip (including a certain Michelin guide place). I liked it so much that we ended up with 2 bentos when we walked out. Very reasonable prices, great flavors. Got the karaage and eel set, both are soooo goooood. Soy and lotus root 'eel' especially had some Chinese peppercorn on it that adds that extra level of flavor. Karaage had perfect texture. There was a tiny korokke too, and a small amount of dessert (coconut cream sweet potatoes). I also ordered an mugwort cake too and it was great, the sweetness level is very light to highlight the mugwort taste. Make sure you eat in so it's warmed up with fresh tofu cream. Prices are very reasonable for Tokyo too.

This is a hidden gem in Tokyo, run by one young lady, from service to food its all incredible, the food was creative and delicious portion sizes are big and filling. As we came as a group we got most of the menu and the whole menu is delicious my favourite we're the karage. The vibe and atmosphere are very homey. I would highly recommend a visit as it is a must try spot.

My partner and I live in Tokyo and this is one of our all time favorite places to visit! Eriko-san is so warm and welcoming, and she puts so much care into playing and presenting each dish. The vegan eel box is must! But be sure to order in advance (either call or instagram).

A small vegan cafe located in a quiet local neighborhood off Nishi Nippori. Very strong home cooked vibe in the dishes. They have takeaway bentos as well. Downside is the location and small window of operating hours. Unagi rice set is excellent - rich layer of sauce covering the faux Unagi. Plate of rolled sushi was pretty good for the variety of faux meats, though the ratio of rice can be too much for my liking. Karage was delicious, though it tasted more like a good popcorn style chicken rather than karage due to a lack of textural contrast from fatty mouthfil in a real karage.
