I had asam laksa and it didn’t disappoint. The soup was flavorful with the ingredients and the portion of the noodles was decent given the price. I couldn’t finish it though as I wasn’t hungry enough to finish it all. My mum and sis and char kuey teow and they liked it. It tasted as good as it looked. It was flavorsome and the portion was generous. We had red ruby chestnut as dessert too and I liked how refreshing it tasted and not overly sweet.
Was quite busy on a Saturday night; food was very good; we had Balachqn Fried Chicken was was very tasty; Char Quay Teoh was good too; I asked for non seafood version and they said “yes”, but brought me chicken satay ??♂️
2025.1.28 We lived in the vicinity with our local friends and they highly recommended this eatery (over Mdm Kwan’s). It’s sooooooo good. Masala Tea : best ever. Full of spices ans so fragrant Fruit rojak: excellent Penang prawn Mee: very authentic and flavourful Chicken Lorbak: fresh and crunchy Signature stuffed crab: yummy but not sure if Penang actually have such stuffed crab with cheese! Love the traditional decor. Service is fast. Come early. The entire place gets filled by 11:30am … on a weekday ! Unbelievable. Our total “damage” was RM110.45. This is a good Penang fix if you are in KL and not heading up there. Come to think of it, it’s darn good for halal food! I would come back here again.
My 83-year old aunt had a hankering for Char Kway Teow. We chanced upon this gem of a restaurant. I was not expecting much for a mall restaurant but I was wrong. The flavours were subtle, authentic and delicious. The assam laksa, char kway teow, otak and cendol with durian were beyond my expectations. I will definitely come back next time I visit KL
Authentic delicious Penang food. I and my family been eating Little Penang since they open their first branch at Mid Valley 1999/2000. The flavour and quality is maintained the same. Char Koay Teow, Curry Mee, Prawn Mee are highlighted to order every time we went, so far the best in town. Other signature foods: Pie Tee, Otak-otak, Asam Laksa, Nasi Lemak You will still need some space for dessert: Ice Kacang, Cendol, Red Rudy, Coconut Shake, Kedongdong Shake(rare) Sorry about the food photos, it was too good, we only realized when finished.
