I've never had a non vegan roast, but now I'll never need to. Delicious. They put care into making every element distinctive but cohesive. A good portion size too. I also highly recommend the cider. The service was impeccable, very friendly staff and the whole place has the coolest vibe. It's a bit hard to find as you might miss it when passing it in the street, but when you do, it's a gem!
Absolutely fantastic. I’m over the moon happy I found this place. The place itself might be a bit intimidating at first but the staff is very kind and professional and the food was incredible. We went on a Sunday and had the roast menu. Highly recommended. SO MUCH GRAVY. The yorkshire puddings were to die for. The “turkey” and “pork belly” delicious af. Go there now.
We went for a Sunday Roast after seeing so many good reviews and we were not disappointed ? The portions are super generous and everything tastes great. We were greatly surprised by the pork belly tofu ? We had to wait quite a while since it was very busy, but our waitress informed us of this in advance, so it was totally fine with us. Only downside: we wish there were some local alcohol-free beers offered ?? or maybe 0.0 Guinness on tap ?? Would definitely come back and will recommend it.
At first, I wasn’t sure about this dark dive bar—but I quickly realized it was exactly the place to be. The bar serves the best wings I’ve ever had, hands down—both as a vegan and former meat-eater. I tried the wings with sweet mustard maple sauce and the bourbon sauce—both were absolutely amazing. I also had a side of the mini smoked dirty mac and cheese, which was just as delicious. On top of that, the bar has a huge selection of great beers and a super friendly staff. We had a reservation, but there was plenty of space when we arrived, so it didn’t seem strictly necessary. Highly recommend this place—10 out of 10 for the atmosphere, the beer, the people, and the fantastic food.
10/10 vegan food. Best place I've been in a solid minute and had partly planned a holiday purely to try this place out. Sadly they didn't have the brisket in, which is something I'll try next time, but in one sitting I had: mocken burger, 6*wings in famous BBQ sauce, 6*wings in bourbon based sauce, mini mac, and heart dirty fries. Spent about £70 total but god was it phenomenal. Service is a little slow but on par with any average bar because food isn't their priority, plus it's well worth the wait. Atmosphere is giving, punk rock downtown bar. Very loud, rowdy, but honestly perfect for the absolute mouthgasm you'll receive. Would come again. Would recommend.
