I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant but struggled to find parking. Today, I had a business meeting in the area and finally got the chance to try this Japanese Beef BBQ spot. Caution: this place is strictly for beef lovers! My colleague and I ordered the Australian beef set, a bowl of kale salad, the house beef tongue, a beef sushi roll, a bowl of beef rice, and a bowl of Japanese fried rice. The beef tongue was mind-blowing—richly flavorful and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The Australian beef was also excellent, tender, and well-marinated, pairing perfectly with the fresh kale salad. For the beef, I’d recommend going with a simple bowl of rice instead of the beef rice, as it complements the BBQ flavors better. Service was decent. The servers were polite, though they didn’t check back after delivering the dishes. The atmosphere is impressive for a BBQ spot. The smoke suction is highly effective, keeping the space clean and nearly smokeless, so you don’t feel like you’re in a BBQ restaurant. The cleanliness and neat layout fit the Japanese style perfectly. Prices are on the higher side, but given the quality of the beef, I’d still recommend this restaurant. Will I be back? Absolutely—hopefully with a bit more parking luck next time!
It is a place for beef lovers. The quality of the beef was fresh and good. The kale salad must order, it was so delicious and crunchy It is advice to make a reservation for a private room.
We walked into Kyomo on a random night without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a private room for two. The room was small but nicely put together—simple and clean, with just enough space to feel comfortable. The atmosphere was simple and minimal, with a clean and cozy layout that made the space feel personal. The service was smooth throughout the meal— shout-out to the young Japanese staff who served us—so polite, low-key, and just really pleasant to be around. The food was decent, though nothing particularly stood out this time. There were a few non-beef options, which was good to see, especially for those with dietary preferences. Not the most memorable meal, but we appreciate the cosy private space and would consider giving it another try.
If you cravings for wagyu this is the one. I can vouch for Kyomo for high quality of food to the service. We had few wagyu restaurants in KL but nothing beats Kyomo. From chef to the front crew, the service was great!
I love Yakiniku and Japanese Wagyu! I’ve tried other Yakiniku restaurants, but to be honest, Kyomo is the best in KL though of course, everyone has their own taste. The hospitality could use some improvement, but overall, it was a great experience. I was especially impressed by the call button in the private room normally, service takes a long time, but at Kyomo, it was super fast! Keep it up, Kyomo, for top notch quality ! ??❤️?
