Very good tempura at reasonable price. The fry was not too oily  and the serving sizes were good.
Slightly small seatings but otherwise very neat for a quick tempura meal. We had the 1500 menu of varied pieces.

This was my first time visiting the restaurant. As soon as you turn onto Kanda Suzuran Street from the intersection under Surugadai, you'll find the restaurant on your left. A group photo of Edogawa Ranpo visiting the restaurant when it first opened is hanging outside, and it tells the story of the restaurant's history. The interior of the restaurant has the atmosphere of a sushi restaurant. I was shown to a counter seat and immediately ordered a tempura bowl. I waited for five minutes. I was reasonably hungry, and the long-awaited tempura bowl was brought to me. Each piece of tempura was crispy and plentiful. It was just as I had imagined it would be, and just as satisfying as I had hoped. I'll definitely be returning.

Quick and filling choice for freshly fried tempura. If you want to eat here for lunch, be prepared for the queue during 11AM-13PM as the store is quite small.

The food is quite cheap though. I ordered a Tendon for 900 yen and was super full. You can upsize your rice for free. The tempura set meal was only 1,000 yen as well.

One thing to avoid sitting by the counter is the heavy smell of oil. If you have a choice, maybe you can ask the staff if you can sit inside.
