We visited this restaurant with a group of three: one local and two expats, to enjoy the Ramadan buffet. Unfortunately, we found the selection to be quite limited, falling short of our expectations. We were hoping for more variety, such as rendang, gearbox, laksa, and seafood, but these were all missing. The dishes available were few, and while the lamb was decent, the beef was not up to par. Additionally, there were no fresh juices offered, which was disappointing.

On a positive note, the staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent service throughout our meal. The live music added a nice touch to the atmosphere, although it was a bit on the louder side, making it challenging to carry on a conversation with friends during dinner.

Overall, the experience didn’t fully meet our expectations, but the staff and ambiance were appreciated.

Overall, the dining experience was satisfactory. While the staff's helpfulness and friendliness, along with the reasonable pricing, were commendable, expanding the menu variety would enhance the offering. The Sabah food, in particular, was a standout feature, a welcome rarity in Kuala Lumpur. We hope Ibis Hotel management will consider special programs to celebrate the upcoming Kaamatan festival.

We visited this buffet located on the 10th floor of the Ibis hotel in Kuala Lampur. The place was empty when we went in with only another family there celebrating a birthday. The variety of the food was good but there was a distinct lack of options for pescatarians. The lamb rendang and the coconut chicken was great and there was a large variety of food including dimsum, noodle soups, duck and lamb roasts. The pricing was decent compared to the quality of the food on offer and we paid around RM80 per person.

I had buka puasa at Kampung Kitchen Buffet Restaurant in Ibis Hotel, and it was a good value for money compared to other hotels and restaurants in the city. The buffet featured mainly local cuisine, and while the food was okay, nothing particularly stood out. The service was average—efficient but not particularly warm. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant dining environment. Overall, a decent and affordable option for iftar, but not a must-visit. Three stars.
