The world's oldest vegetarian restaurant is in Zurich! This is the place! That was the first thing which attracted me to this place, then I got to know that there is this amazing concept of pay for what's on your plate, by weighing! This is too good! You go to a buffet and you see people taking lot of food and just ending up wasting it. Now this concept really makes it even more sustainable and better. Coming to the buffet, so many dishes and items on the spread. Everything was perfect. They even had medhu vada, raita and few more Indian dishes, also the Mediterranean and other cuisines were also top class! Definitely enjoyed this place, this is worth the price and hype ? go for it blindly! You would not be disappointed.
I’m a vegetarian who doesn’t take any allium ingredients. I love love the most of this restaurant is they label those allergens on each dishes (I went at the lunch time). I didn’t need to bother anyone and it was just so clear for me to know. It saved me a lot of time and trouble. ??? Also the people there were friendly too. It was my first time there. The lady nicely explained to me how to read the labels. Great services!
If you’re visiting Zurich, or even just living here and trying to remember a good place to eat out, COME HERE!! This is an absolute must. I am so happy I followed the advice I got to come here. I had an absolutely amazing meal here. Everything was delicious. I got a phenomenal risotto with asparagus (which is in season right now), the Korean cauliflower fried rice, and the coupe Denmark for dessert (basically an ice cream sundae with graham cracker crumbles). When I say I can’t stop dreaming about this meal, I mean it. I might even go back here while on this visit just to round out the trip it was so good. Everything was fresh and filling. The atmosphere is adorable. The staff are super kind.
My fav buffer in the country! Love their veggie options, the variety, the atmosphere and the details they provide per dish. Highly recommended to anybody into healthy and vegetarian options.
Every time I’m in Zurich, I have to come back here. Oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world? Yeah, and it still slaps. Been here more times than I can count, and it never disappoints. Downstairs, it’s a buffet setup, you grab a plate, load up like it’s your last meal, and pay by the weight. Pro tip: things add up quick when you’re hungry and everything looks good. You’ve been warned. If you head upstairs, you get the full sit-down experience. You can still hit the buffet downstairs just weigh your plate, get a ticket, and hand it off to your server like a classy food courier. Easy. The food? Absolutely amazing. Tons of variety, packed with flavor, and actually satisfying. Like, not just “good for vegetarian food” just good, period. Drinks are fresh too, especially the juices. If you’re vegan or vegetarian, this is the spot in Zurich. And even if you’re not, you’ll still walk out happy. It’s that good.
