Taro is a wonderful instructor. We had the opportunity to learn about japan and Japanese kitchen from his authentic view. We loved the warm hospitality by Yoshiko and Taro. The food the we made was delicious! The workshop is highly recommended for those who seek to expand their knowledge about Japan.
This cooking class was one of the highlights of my time in Japan. The food we cooked and the techniques we learnt were amazing, but the insights into Japanese culture and society were what I’ll always remember. Taro is a wonderful teacher, and it was a pleasure to feel so welcomed in his home with his lovely family. Truly an experience I won’t forget.
I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. Taro is an exceptional host; warm, generous, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment I stepped into his family home, it was clear this was more than just a cooking class. Yes, you’ll learn to prepare delicious Japanese dishes, but the real gift is in the rich conversations about culture, connection, and the spirit of hospitality. I’ve visited Japan many times, but this experience offered a kind of intimacy and insight I never imagined possible as a tourist. Thank you, Taro, I’ll be back next time.
Taro and his wife are wonderful hosts. This was a wonderful lunch, and we learnt so much about Japanese culture and way of life. Very insightful, honest and allowed very interesting discussion at lunch. Thank you again for welcoming us to your home Taro!
This was one the best Japanese experiences we had in our month long trip. Taro runs an exceptional afternoon, filled with cooking and lovely conversation. He has a wonderful way of articulating Japanese culture through food and their way of life. The cooking was great, but the conversation and education regarding Japan was second to none. Couldn’t recommend this any more highly.
