The food here is so very cheap and yet quality and taste of food is better than any fancy restaurant. It is a very humble and simple place but don’t let that fool you. Or I should say don’t judge a book by its cover. Since we discovered this restaurant we went there everyday and tried all dishes. Again tasted better than any other restaurants and Thai Hot Pot was super super tasty. Had to ask for recipe. I also recommend lemongrass lemon drink. They are all vegan and very health conscious so no heavy oil like other restaurants. Super healthy.

Hem Vegan is a vegan restaurant located in the Old quarter district, quite close to Hoan Kiem lake. It's located in a small alley. Once you see the sign in front, keep walking straight until you find the restaurant. The restaurant was busy and charging 1.5X prices on Lunar New Year eve, but food was good. Delicious rice paper rolls. Yummy and spicy Thai hotpot, something I especially enjoyed on a chilly winter day. Worth a visit.

The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered Bun Dau Met, Banh Mi Pate, Spring Rolls, and Lemongrass Kumquat and everything tasted so goooood! I am particularly in love with the bun dau met dipping sauce. Would love to go back :)

Good food, cheap prices, nice people as well. We were able to pay by card. However, hard to see if you are walking on the street.

Friendly and quick service. Music choice was nice too. He was very accommodating when asking for only certain ingredients.
