2 Chome-15-6 Kichijoji Honcho, Musashino, Tokyo 180-0004, Japan
So I really wanted to try their buffet and I was particularly fascinated by the fact that their menu changes on a daily basis so last week I had lunch here with my friend H. To be fair, the コスパ is pretty good, considering that you pay 1500円 and you can eat as much as you want. That said, the food options, while being very tasty, were kinda disappointing? I mean, there was a lot of salad, and carrots, and even if I would say I'm the kind of person who thrives with veggies, those veggies were actually pretty plain. On the other hand, the curry sauce was pretty good, and the fried chicken was too! But still, I would focus on making a more creative menu :)
Each time I visit Tokyo, I always visit this place for their lunch. It’s been my ritual for the past 10 years. I took a longer time to arrive at their new location because I was almost at the old location ( omotesando ) thank God I checked my Google map but I was almost too late. Nevertheless, reached here & this neighbourhood is really nice and busy. The picked vege & salad was good and the brown rice is puffy. I accidentally took the meat and gave it to my hubby. I definitely recommend this place e if you are vegan/ vegetarian or allergic to MSG.
Buffet is good value, tasty and really healthy. It's 99% vegan every day, one or two dishes have meat so there is something for everyone. The market in back has lots of items and I got some really handy stuff for cooking at home.
No fuss, efficiently organized restaurant and shop, and well-staffed to keep things running quickly and smoothly; food at the buffet was kept attentively filled, and tables were promptly cleared and cleaned ready for the next customer. Superb. For lunch buffet, pay at the counter by the main entrance, before waiting to be handed a tray and seated. Once seated, take your tray, slip one hand into a plastic glove, and use the clad hand to help yourself to food at the buffet counter. Note, that if it's busy, solo diners may be asked if they would be willing to share tables, in which case, staff would place a plexiglass barrier inbetween them. The buffet is basically one lunch set menu - that changes daily - with unlimited refills; and for 1550yen, not to mention organic ingredients are used, it's a real bargain. This place is my new favorite for a quick, healthy meal made with quality ingredients. And, there is no time limit to have your meal. When done, return your tray to the return area, and dispose of any trash into the appropriate bins. Water and barley tea is also self-service, available at the end of the buffet counter. Bag baskets are provided at the tables, bicycle parking available by the side entrance, and it's very family and child-friendly considering how small the space is, with baby chairs, if needed, and considerate staff directing customers with strollers/pushchairs to more spacious tables. Minus one star for the lack of something sweet at the buffet, and unfortunately none their cakes at the counter seem to be vegan. And sometimes, the buffet for the day can be very heavy on the carbohydrates, and can be a bit bland at times.
