We found this little restaurant/bar because it was open really late. The food was very tasty and the prices were very reasonable. Moreover, the staff/owners at this restaurant, especially the chef (unfortunately, I cannot remember his name) were truly awesome people. Not just because of the great service, but we got a chance to chill and talk (we were a bit lost, as we had missed our plane) and boy did these guys made us feel better. Love & Respect.

The only place that has an open kitchen until 3am around here, so I definitely loved that. The food quality was good and the prices were normal. The only issue I had was that a drunk fisherman, who seemed nice at first, and I invited over to chat, started getting pushing about me buying him a cigarette when I went to pay my bill. Normally, I wouldn’t blame the business for this, but this guy was clearly a regular. I quickly paid my bill and hopped into the “regular” taxi driver’s tuk who waits at this place so early in the morning, and I told him to “Drive. Just go.” He didn’t. He waited for this drunk guy to attempt to push his way into the tuk with me, but I blocked him at the door. He was using physical force. I gave him some time to think about what he was doing, and told the driver to go, but the fisherman didn’t relent and the driver didn’t go. Instead of punching a guy cold on my second day in Sri Lanka, I jumped through the window of the other side of the tuk, knowing he would be incapable of following, and started walking. The tuk driver drove this guy in front of me, and the guy got out and was looking for a fight to lose. I didn’t give it to him and kept walking past, telling him to stay away. The tuk caught up to me and I hopped in, to my destination, while the driver kept saying that the guy was a bad guy and that I should avoid him . . . really? I guess me jumping out the window didn’t convince this old driver that I should avoid this drunk guy ? The driver still tried to extort me for a few more rupees at the end. I gave him an extra 100 over what he deserved. Summery: Can I blame the whole city of Colombo for this one? . . . no. There are some great things here, but this experience wasn’t one of them, except for the food at the wee hours of the morning, which was great. I would have gone back to the restaurant a couple more times while I’m here, but the drunk guy ruined it for me.

Great food, great service, owner is really freindly and helpfull! Tasty food, try the chicken and egg roti!

Premium bar. If you want to be with the locas, enjoy good food with a cold beer and cricket or even European football this is your bar! Excellent service! We watched Champions league there and were there waiting for our taxi to the airport and staff even helped us carrying our bags to the taxi. Thanks a lot again especially to ubul! Best guy!

We started our trip with this place - a local rustic bar with a local vibe and it was the best start we could ask for. Happened to stumble upon here after a late flight and with all other places closed by 11-1 this was welcomingly open till 3 am. The beers flowed and great side dishes with good fried rice was just perfect for a good late night start.
