The best food I ate in Sri Lanka so far. It was really fresh and increadibly delicious. The prices very fair, I would even say - low. Plenty of local people eating here means it is really good :) You need to try it while visiting Nuwara Eliya.
Located on the main market road of Nuwara Eliya, this restaurant is easy to spot and one of the rare pure vegetarian places in Sri Lanka. Spread across three floors, it has ample seating, making it a great option even during peak hours. The menu offers a delightful range of Indian cuisine, from the bold, spicy flavors of North Indian dishes to the comforting savories of South India. The taste is quite authentic and closely matches Indian flavors, making it a great spot for those craving a familiar bite. The pricing is reasonable—not too cheap, not too expensive—offering good value for money. Portions are fair if you have an average appetite. The staff is professional and courteous, though the service could be a bit faster. Overall, if you're looking for a spacious pure veg restaurant in Sri Lanka with a solid Indian menu, this spot is definitely worth a visit!
Tasty vegetarian South Indian food served fresh. Efficient service. A little cramped during peak times. Waiters are mostly female. Kiruba, who served us did a wonderful job catering to our needs with a smile. Ghee paper dosai was crispy and tasty. Masala chai had a unique taste. Masala filling in dosai was tasty and flavorful. Card payments are accepted. They have been able to satisfy the long due need of a proper vegetarian restaurant in Nuwara Eliya.
We had already planned to visit this place knowing the popularity of Indian food. It was crowded and hot inside the restaurant. Ordering food was quite easy and fast. I was mostly concerned about the hospitality and friendlyness of the staff. And food was also good bringing out the true & rich Indian flavours. Lucky to visit on a less crowded day than usual holiday days ?
A place to try local foods breakfast to dinner also they have mithai options. Tried their puri with curry, samayal (first time had it ) and one of my friend tried masala dosa it looks so nice . Food was delicious. Worth for money. Near to bus stop and in center. Quick service too.
