Easy to find. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. They smiled all the time. However, the staff looked rushed. There are just too many people and tasks to attend to but very few staff especially for morning breakfast. The guy at the counter had to rush between desk, cleaning and tidying up tables and direct customers to food stations. Pity the lady at the egg station too as she is completely new and rushed. Management please look into hiring more personnel at least 3/4 more during peak times. I was here for Christmas holiday so imagine the chaos when many food stations are running out of condiments, and staff are juggling hard between cleaning tables and getting the food filled up. I salute their speed for trying to keep used tables clean and tidy and be ready. Other than that, the rooms are fine and clean, great views and very convenient here. The wifi is also good. Live it
The room offers a great spot for a sea view, but I’d recommend heading down to the beach for the best sunrise experience. The room itself is cozy and comes with a TV, sofa, and dining table. However, there was a strange smell in both the room and the lift. Also, be cautious of a cabinet placed near the main door—my dad accidentally hit his head on its corner. For guest safety, it would be better to consider relocating it. One biggest advantage, the staff are friendly and helpful. For breakfast, there was a selection of both Asian and Western delights
Good price value for the sea view standard twin room. Room is clean and functional. Bottled water provided. Toiletries provided including man shaver. Floor felt sticky on bare feet but dried up after the room is air conditioned.
Had a good stay at Tunamaya Resort Desaru. Booked a twin room for about RM 200. The rooms were really clean and had a beautiful view of the beach. While the hotel is old, the rooms were still reasonably well maintained and clean. In fact, I really enjoyed the 70's/80's vibe of the hotel and the retro feel. However, the breakfast buffet has room for improvement in terms of the quality of food offered. Most of the food felt extremely cheap and easily prepared. It is definitely not worth the price. The lifts also had a strange smell. Beach cleanliness could also be improved, there was trash littered all over the coastline. Overall value for money stay and the location is decent, near Woodfire which is a solid choice for food in the area.
