Fantastic hostel! Loads of communal space Free laundry! Big spacious clean rooms Loads of clean toilets and showers Huge kitchen with plenty of fridge space and storage No complaints from me! (Please put shelves for top bunks!)
Very impressed from start to finish. Great introduction at reception, super clean and comfortable room as well as very useful bathroom and kitchen facilities. Regarding road noise, it’s a city people. Wear ear plugs and don’t be childish. Excellent location and very good price point!
I have been backpacking for 5+ years and this is one of the best hostels I have ever been to. Super clean, people and staff are amazing and very helpful and the location is really convenient. You can’t find a better hostel in Auckland
Rooms are small but not tiny there is room to move around comfortably. I love that the rooms are designed for groups of traveling friends it's not often a 3 person room in 3 single beds. It was exactly what we were looking for. Room was quite loud with car noise all night but that is just the cons of a super center location. It was a great location to start our days from everything was about a 10 mins walk away. Bed's were comfortable unfortunately the pillows were small, sad and, flat and so were the sheets. I'd worry about it being cold in winter, we went to the end of summer it it was still plenty hot enough. Staff were super helpful answering all our questions are changing our room temp every time we asked. Would definitely come back. Amazing for a group on a budget.
I stayed in a four bed, male dorm room. Overall, it was a great stay. I would stay again. Make sure you pack earplugs! Pros + great communal space + comfortable beds + good air conditioning (although it turned off after a few hours and could only be turned back on by texting reception) + couch and fridge in the room + clean amenities with a surplus of showers and toilets + couches and lounges on both levels with lots of space + free laundry facilities (washing and drying) + affordable onsite parking ($15 per day) + staff were great and available Cons - no curtains on bunk beds - nowhere to put toiletries in the shower other than on the floor - loud street noise (the rooms mostly front onto a four lane main road in the city) Sirens and cars were loud during the night. - the room doors were loud when they opened and shut, disturbing the person sleeping right next to the door (this could be fixed with a door closer/silencer or something the makes the door shut quietly and gently).
