Rooms are perfect size, its an actual pocket, the traditional Japanese bed is surprisingly very comfortable. Showers, bathrooms and the whole place actually are very clean. (Ps i absolutely love their cleaning lady. She is amazing. ) great place to leave your luggage and with locks. The location is perfect and you are so close everything and or the trains to make things quicker. Breakfast next store is wonderful. I can't say enough good about this place and would absolutely stay here again.

Great stay at the Pocket Hotel. We stayed 3 nights in Kyoto and opted for the pocket hotel. Conveniently located, walking distance from many tourists destinations, from grocery & convenience stores and from the main Kyoto JR station (20 mins). The private room was very clean, quite small but well setup and the futons were very comfortable. As always the cleanliness was top, both bathrooms and showers. Check-in is self serve at an electronic desk but there is staff to help in case. You're given slippers, towels and night wear if needed.

We knew Japan would be expensive, but we were still shocked by just HOW expensive it has become. With that in mind, the pocket hotel is the best value for money hotel we have found in Japan yet. Especially with the breakfast included in the restaurant next door. The shared bathrooms are clean and pleasant. The beds are futon style, but fine. The pillows were a little flat for me. The staff, when around, are wonderful. Location is absolutely ideal.

Very central location directly next to a subway station. Dorm-style rooms with only communal showers and toilet, everything is clean though and easy to access. Rooms are relatively small with Futons to sleep on, but lots of storage space for luggage under the sleeping space. No fridge in the room though, keep that in mind when buying food that needs to stay cold. No daily roomservice, which is totally fine for me but should be noted.

Everything’s great. The bed is comfy, amenities are new and clean. Toilets and shower are always clean. Location is near 7-11 and Fresco Supermarket. There’s a also a drugstore and coin store next door. The washing machine is great and cheap. Love the machine for check in and check out. Room is small but fit for everything. Great interior design for the room and joineries. We are muslim and we even get a space to pray. One of the best hostel I’ve stayed in all of my travels.
