It's a very odd hotel. It's  very remote but dies have an MTR station. Big rooms but no restaurant or bar. Olympic City is close by, and Kowloon is close on the MTR, but in reality, it's a long way from the centre of town, and with no restaurant or bar, it feels quite remote. Rooms are overheated with no internal controls.

I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children on their website. However, the email booking confirmation shows 2 adults only. I emailed the hotel for them to check it. There was no response after 1 week. Thus, I called in (international call) to check. Their staff gave me the assurance that the booking in their system stated 2 adults and 2 children. She told me not to be worried. I asked her to generate the confirmation email and she replied that system is unable to do it. So I requested for email reply stating so but she refused to send and further assured me that it’s registered as 2 adults and 2 children in the system. Given it’s a 5 stars hotel, I gave them the benefit of doubt.

1 week prior to the travel, they contacted me stating that they are unable to process the payment. So I asked them to send me the payment link and reminded them that it’s 2 adults and 2 children. To my horror, they claimed that my booking is 2 adults and asked me to top up HKD500 per night to upgrade to a bigger room!

I told them I will cancel my booking. This is my worst ever experience with 5 stars hotel. A 3 stars hotel can provide better services than them. Their system and staff requires upgrade. I will never go to their chain of hotels ever.

The rooms are huge, luxurious and there is everything one needs. The staff is extremely polite, helpful and friendly. I can however give only 3 stars because of the breakfast. The breakfast selection is very poor. There are only 3 types of breakfast to choose from and a buffet, which is just bad. Toast, one type of jam, butter, honey, some croissants, 3 types of fresh fruit, but all quite tasteless and joghurt. That's all. That is not a breakfast a 5* hotel should offer.

My recent stay at the Olympian left me with mixed feelings. It's important to note that this establishment feels more like a service apartment with a kitchen than a traditional hotel, and it certainly doesn't meet the standard of a 5-star hotel.

Cons:
- The location is less than ideal, requiring a 10-minute walk to the nearest train station.
- The design of the hotel is notably outdated, lacking a modern touch
- The breakfast offerings were disappointing and failed to meet expectations
- A strong, artificial scent permeated the corridors, which was quite off-putting
- The absence of a humidifier in the room was a noticeable inconvenience

Pros:
- A highlight was the unlimited supply of soft drinks in the mini-bar and kitchen
- The rooms are impressively large, offering plenty of space
- With only 32 rooms, the hotel maintains a serene and quiet atmosphere, which is a significant plus
