Overall, the May Hotel was a pleasant stay. The hotel staff were friendly and approachable. If there were any questions or requests you had, they were more than happy to answer them. They do not offer early check-in without paying for an extra night. However, they do look after your luggage in the lobby should you arrive before 3pm. Once we checked in, we were given one key card. The room was gorgeous and clean, exactly like the photos I saw online! There's a small hallway with slippers and a fire extinguisher before another door leads to the rest of the room. While the beds were the firmest beds I've ever slept on, it was very comfortable. The bathroom doesn't have a door to separate it from the rest of the room, but there are separate doors for the shower and the toilet. There's only a semi opaque glass wall between the bathroom and the bed so at night you can see the light from the bathroom through the bedroom if someone's in there. There's no safe in the room so we brought our own. There's also no lotion in the bathroom area so I'd recommend to bring your own too. The mini fridge worked fine and had 2 water bottles in it - nice! There's a closet above but it only had 2 hangers. The TV worked fine for the most part, there were so many channels to choose from- even a few English channels. You can also stream YouTube and Netflix but it was a little tricky to find it as the remote is in Korean. The remote is also how you control the A/C in the room, the temperature buttons by the beds don't do anything lol. The tub and the shower were very nice, just keep in mind that it takes a while for the water to get hot so let it run for a bit. Also, we were only provided with one body towel with three hand towels. You'll have to bring your own face towels and request body towels at the front desk. We also requested complimentary daily cleaning but all they did was take out the trash in the room and remove the extra body towel we requested. They never came back to our room lol. The hotel itself was very quiet and you really only heard people if they were talking outside in the Hallway. They also provide free basic breakfast in the basement. While the hotel is located in an alleyway we always felt very safe getting in and out. The location is AMAZING! You're around the corner Jogno 3 (sam)-ga station as well as Insadong street and Ikseon Hanok Village! So many shops, restaurants, convience stores, cafes, markets, and bars within walking distance. I would stay here again and would recommend this accommodation too!
Great place to stay. It is not how it look from outside. Great people to deal with, clean room, free breakfast with a helping chef. Laundry, netflix, youtube, Airport drop off everything was easy. 2 minutes to downtown where you have 24hr restaurants and convince stores. Will definitely recommend it.
Good economical place to stay in a great location that is close to the subway, bus stop, restaurants and more. Friendly, English speaking staff. Minor issue: there was no hot water at night during 2/7 nights, possibly because of too much hot water demand in the evening.
I have missed feelings about this place It has a great location and luxury bathtub+shower But. No drawers and hangers The whole review+ mini tour is here on YouTube: @AnaChefDiary
