44 Insadong-gil, Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea
Nice place to shop. Unique layout. Must visit. Bought some nice stuff here. Also visit 3rd floor. If u are cat lovers. All bags and other items available.
Quite a highlight of Insadong, they have handicrafts from DIY, cosmetics to accessories. Halfway through the length of the mall, one of the shop is a haven for cat lovers in which they sell unique printed totes, postcards and pouches. Overall it’s a nice place to take a walk even if you do not plan to buy anything.
Lovely shopping mall made up of small boutiques offering lots of handmade products. Perfect place to find a unique souvenir to bring back home!
Local shopping and art craft stores. We liked the unique design of this place which is type of an open air shopping center. While the stores were very cute, there were many high school students who were walking around. It was nice to experience such daily atmosphere.
Ssamziegil (often spelled Ssamzigil) in Seoul’s Insadong is a charming, spiral‑ramp shopping complex blending traditional and modern Korean crafts. Opened in 2004, it hosts around 70 boutique shops across four levels, plus cafes, galleries, and a rooftop garden—perfect for photos . Visitors praise its vibrant, artsy atmosphere and diverse selection of handmade items like hanji crafts, ceramics, accessories and quirky souvenirs . TripAdvisor calls it “one of the coolest shopping malls” and notes a mix of great and “junky” souvenirs . One Redditor, describing it as “that tourist trap building in the middle of Insadong‑gil,” reminds visitors there’s much more to explore nearby . Overall, Ssamziegil is a must‑visit cultural hub in Insadong—photo‑worthy, full of creative flair, and great for souvenir shopping.
