125 Canal St, New York, NY 10002, United States
Cleanliness: The property was generally clean, the rooms were clean, and the towels were clean as well. Location: The location is close to many subway stations and right in Chinatown. It's quite central and feels safe. Even as a solo traveler, I didn’t have any safety issues even late at night. It’s also within walking distance to Soho. The room I stayed in (Room 302) had an amazing bridge view. The location is really excellent. Hotel Amenities: The bed in the room was very comfortable. The hotel has areas where you can get drinking water and hot water. The WiFi connection was good. The staff was also helpful.
The location is great, many places to eat nearby and subway is all walkable and have different routes. Room was spacious, clean! Staff were super friendly and nice!
Zaf immediately greeted us after a long day of travel. He was incredibly welcoming and made check-in efficient. The room was clean and the shower was incredible. Our family of five, comfortably stayed in a room with 2 doubles and a pull out (which was comfortable). The room had a view of the Manhattan Bridge entrance. Overall the room was quiet to the outside, but somewhat non-insulated from hallway noises (ear plugs helped). I would stay there again and have recommended it to family and friends.
Our stay at the hotel went very smoothly. The staff is super kind and helpful. The room is spacious and clean, with a great view, the commodities are easy to use and the beds are quite comfortable. The location is ideal if you travel around via the subway or bus. The New York City Centre is at about 20 minutes of reach via the subway.
I struggled to find a place to stay in Manhattan that was in my price range but also comfortably accommodated my family (husband and two teens). We are a very tall family and I hated the thought of us all being cramped in a typical “2 queen bed” room that seems to be on offer in most places in NYC. Plus son and daughter don’t want to share or share with their snory dad. Anyway we opted for the Leon Deluxe Loft Suite and it was amazing. Two separate sleeping areas divided by a sliding door, two queens in one room and one in another. Also two separate bathrooms (which wasn’t clear from the hotel info and was an unexpected surprise). The views were amazing across the bridge and the financial district buildings. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel clean and tidy in all areas: we had an issue with a blocked toilet and the staff got to fixing it within the hour. The location isn’t necessarily the most desirable and there are lots of street sellers In the vicinity but we never felt unsafe in Chinatown at all. There are a few subway stops nearby, Canal St, Grand St and East Broadway. We walked towards the financial district on the first morning to walk the Brooklyn bridge and found some great coffee stands with delicious pastries just a 10 minute walk away, so visited there again on other mornings. Some really nice places to eat in Soho and Little Italy too and obviously tons of eating options in Chinatown too. I would definitely recommend.
