No. 199號, Zhongshan 2nd Rd, Cianjhen District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan 806
I rarely write reviews. But this hotel deserves every star that I can give it. The facilities are certainly first class, with a modernist ambience that is at once austere, yet welcoming. The beds are comfortable, the furnishings attractive, the bathrooms are next generation, the workout facilities clean and the restaurants particularly engaging. Their breakfasts are simply amazing and show a level of quality, care and presentation that words cannot do justice to. But the true star of this hotel, the thing that elevates it above even the best hotels, is the quality of its staff. The people who looked after us possess a level of training and professionalism that I've rarely experienced elsewhere. Moreover, they genuinely care about their guests and will bend over backwards to make your stay not only comfortable, but memorable. Without getting into convoluted details, our initial booking encountered some misunderstandings and could easily have gone awry. We encountered a situation in which the staff that I talked to could have held firm to their stated policies. Moreover, since these were published plainly and publicly, I would have had no true cause for complaint. And while this would not have prevented our stay, it would have diminished our enjoyment of it. But instead of adhering to policy, both staff and management demonstrated a flexibility and finesse that is rare to find anywhere these days. They worked out a compromise with me that was entirely satisfactory and left me happy rather than disappointed. It's easy to look good when things go well. But the real test of service excellence is how one responds when confronted with problems and adversity. My experience with this hotel: they respond like champs. I cannot commend this hotel — and their magnificent staff — enough. They've earned my loyalty and we will be staying here every time we visit Kaohsiung.
It was my first time staying at a hotel in Kaohsiung since a decade ago. Silks Club really lived up to all my expectations. Not only was the price reasonable, but from the check in staff to the quality and size of the rooms offered and the view of the Kaohsiung night cityscape—everything was perfect. I only stayed for a single night and didn’t have time to use the other facilities, but from what I can see the gym, pool, high floor bar and restaurants are all of top quality. The only small issue I had was that the bed was a little too hard for my liking but otherwise I found my entire trip extremely pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to any travellers as it is really accessible and offer a plethora of services that you would only find at the best hotels. Friendly reminder that they don’t provide personal sanitary goods such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and face wash. So do remember to bring your own.
This is a fantastic hotel. The staff are very knowledgeable and the menu for breakfast is outstanding. The roof top bar offer good views and the food and drink offer excellent value and good quality. One hotel not to be missed.
Despite the name, this is not a private club but a very well-run luxury hotel. The registration staff are versed in different languages while the rooms are modern, comfortable and well-accessorized. I do agree with a previous review commenting that the lobby is quite dark, feels a bit sterile and could be more welcoming. I particularly liked the gym, sauna area and pool. There's something extra-stimulating about swimming laps while outdoors on the 16th floor. The sauna itself has a hot tub, cold tub, steam room and dry sauna. Location is quite convenient – an easy five minute walk to the nearest subway station.
My wife and I stayed for several days during our birthdays and had a wonderful time. Rooms are clean and well laid out. The staff was especially wonderful and knew how to make an already great experience magical.
