Such a beautiful place! Spacious house, rooms, kitchen with BBQ set up by the lovely and friendly housekeepers. The only issue is that there are insects...this is "in nature" after all, so do bring your repellent and be on guard to squish bugs as when necessary. Gorgeous scenery below, our friends were kind enough to take our pre-wedding photos there!

I could just sit here and do nothing but stare at the lush greens, as per the namesake of this place. Lovely view of the well maintained garden and the forest beyond. I didn't want to leave the terrace all day, at least until the bugs started greeting us :P Good choice of land since the stream was a nice addition to the homestay. Like that cooking utensils, foil for barbecue, etc was provided. Interior blended modernity and Tudor style ceilings well. Aside from the surprise basket of goodies, breakfast was smthg worth waking up to in the misty morning. We came with 6 pax and a baby. The dog is so friendly to everyone, even the baby kept asking to see it!

This is my 2nd time staying here, first time was for a family staycation & most recently was for a retreat I organised for a group of colleagues. The place is so serene, with the actual sound of a running stream nearby (which we enjoyed standing in); but what makes this place so special to me is the incredible hospitality: the delicious morning breakfast prepared hot daily (I had a friend from Mexico over, and I was delighted to see that one of the meals served was nasi lemak, so he could have a traditional Malaysian breakfast), little touches such as complimentary retro snacks, even balm & mosquito repellent, and the SUPERB, clear & speedy communication provided by Dorena throughout. She accommodated my changes to the number of pax, even right up until the day before we were due to arrive, and when I asked her if I could use the tealights in the house, not only she replied super fast in her usual fashion, she was so thoughtful as to provide even more tealights, also complimentary. I am so happy I managed to book this place over the recent long weekend - absolutely the right choice, and all my colleagues agree, too - and I'm already looking forward to coming back.

This is my second time back to this house after 8 years! I am so amazed everything still well maintained like 8 years before. My family spent good time, chill and relax there. Will definitely come back again next time.

We had an amazing overnight stay at Rest. Pause. Rainforest Retreat for our association retreat. The experience was nothing short of wonderful! Dorena (Manager) & Rani (Caretaker) were incredibly accommodating, even allowing us to check in early. They also went the extra mile by providing a whiteboard and flip chart, which was really helpful for our retreat and team-building sessions. The facility was superb, offering a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere—perfect for a retreat. We absolutely loved the house concept, which had a unique aesthetic value and felt so homely. It truly lived up to its name as a place to pause and unwind. There was a dog on-site, which we understood was for security purposes. It didn’t bother us, so it was all good. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again soon.
