We recently stayed at Parkroyal Penang and overall had a great time, but there were a few issues that stopped it from being a perfect stay. The biggest disappointment was the room temperature. The room was freezing cold, and despite asking twice for it to be fixed, the staff who came up seemed to just "pretend" to fix it. Even though the thermostat screen showed it was set to cool to 30°C (we would have preferred around 24°C), it kept pumping out freezing 18°C air — and it couldn't be turned off either, which made it really uncomfortable at times. There were also a couple of minor maintenance issues, like the toilet roll holder being slightly broken. That said, the hotel itself is lovely. The pool area is beautiful (although it would have been nice if there was some music to liven up the atmosphere), and the grounds are kept absolutely immaculate, we even had monkeys wandering past which was a great experience. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, but the overall taste was average. The omelette station was definitely the best option. The location is perfect, right on the beach and close to everything you need. With a bit more attention to room maintenance and service follow-up, this could easily be a 5-star experience.

Amazing property and totally worth the amount spent. We celebrated our anniversary during our stay, and the hotel made it extra special with lots of surprises for us—including the kids. The location is right on the beach. The breakfast buffet is top-notch—one of the best I’ve had among similar premium properties in Batu Ferringhi. The kids’ play area and splash park are also excellent and quite spacious. The kids loved it. We definitely plan to visit again soon.

We had an amazing one-night stay at this hotel during Mother's Day. From the moment we checked in, everything was delightful. While waiting, we were offered welcome drinks, and the staff even gave me candies and biscuits to celebrate the occasion. The kids loved the pool, especially the water slide and splash zone. I really appreciated the lifeguards—they were attentive and made sure the kids were safe. They even kept track of which children belonged to which parents, which was very reassuring. The kids' club was fantastic! It had an indoor and outdoor playground, plus a craft area with activities throughout the day. One staff member, Ms. Mariam (I hope I got the name right), was especially friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome and even assisted parents with younger children during registration. The breakfast buffet was another highlight—so many delicious choices, from Malaysian to Western dishes. I honestly wish we could have stayed two more nights to enjoy everything fully. My kids are already asking when we’re coming back! ?

This was our first stay at Park Royal Penang, and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. We celebrated Mother’s Day and were pleasantly surprised by a complimentary chocolate cake from the hotel — it was delicious, and the thoughtful gesture made it even more special. We had dinner at Gustoso, where the food was excellent and the service outstanding. The hotel’s facilities are also impressive — we enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam bath during our stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Breakfast was a bit chaotic due to high occupancy, but the food was still decent, and the coffee was great. Overall, the service throughout the hotel was warm and efficient. We had a lovely time and look forward to returning.

We stayed at PARKROYAL Penang Resort for 4 nights to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and it was truly an incredible experience from start to finish! The resort went above and beyond. They surprised my mom with a complimentary birthday cake and balloons, which made my mom feel so special. She said it was her best birthday stay ever and we couldn’t agree more. Our room was spacious and comfortably fit four people, with a private balcony overlooking the ocean and sunset. The view was absolutely heavenly. Waking up to that every morning felt like a dream. The breakfast buffet was another highlight with a wide variety and everything was incredibly delicious! Huge thanks to the PARKROYAL team for their warm hospitality and thoughtful gestures. This stay created memories we’ll cherish forever. Highly recommended for anyone planning a special celebration or just a relaxing beach getaway in Penang!
