Omo3 Kyōto Tōji By Hoshino Resorts

The hotel is situated in a not-so-busy area but is so close to public transportation options. I am happy to discover the area, especially when I joined their activity to the Toji Temple. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. I am definitely staying in Omo next time I visit Japan.

We arranged our luggage to be delivered from Osaka to Kyoto (¥1300 per 26inch) thus we had extra time for sightseeing n stroll into the hotel after 3pm. Our luggage arrived around 6pm. Hotel was located 10 mins walk from Kyoto station n 3 mins walk to Aeon Mall. We chose this place so it’s easier to reach the outskirts from Kyoto stn. Room for sgl was really tiny (abt 10sqm2) Safety box’s batteries with taped on. Carpet was filthy. Tiniest bathroom ever w one glass shelf. But at Sgd94 a night how to complain? Check in was a breeze but don’t ask for any service as you’ll be met w “no” afterall OMO3 is the entry level for their hotels brand starting from 3, then 5, then 7. Their lobby is well set up w a laundromat, self paying n well stocked dining/communal area. Help yourself to the amenities and hotel shirt/shorts as these are not set up in the room - brilliant cost saving n friendly idea.

I stayed at Omo3 for 2 nights. I loved everything in the hotel! The wall arts, the lobby the rooms I would like to reccomend to everyone to stay here^__^ It's not far (for me) from Kyoto station (around 10-15 minutes walk) There's also a big Aeon mall nearby ^__^ Very convenient!

Really great boutique style hotel, located not far from Kyoto station. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, helped with any inquiries we had, great English. The rooms are on the smaller side but still had enough room to store luggage and there's a bath in the bathroom. The hotel has a nice little self-run 24h shop selling snacks, drinks and omiyage. They run tours to the local temple and have a board with recommendations of what to eat, do and see in the area. My favourite thing was the sento kit you can rent and then go to a local showa style sento bath not far from the hotel.

It’s a good walk from the main station so get the local train service to Toji (1 stop) and walk around the corner to it. Doing this there is a small Nepal/Indian restaurant near the overpass that do huge beers. Has two floors and is quite popular. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff will try and help you the best that they can. There is a laundromat on site that only takes coins, but there is a change machine in the corner that takes ¥1,000 yen bills.
