We stayed 7 nights through Christmas and had a very restful and relaxed vacation. This place is indeed a gem, we liked that the place blended well into the native locale. Beautiful naturally ventilated traditional huts set amongst unspoilt grounds. Stayed in River House 12. Truly embraced the experience of living in harmony with nature! (Tip: lights attract beetles so switch off the lamps overhead the bed.) We didn't miss air conditioning or hot water heater at all! The verandah faced the breezy sea and we were lulled to sleep at night by the waves lapping up the beach. The sea and beach front is the tiara! The sandy beach and gentle gradient allowed us to swim all day whatever the tide. Also explored the beach and stumbled upon local fishing community nearby. The Warung restaurant is amazing! Menu was extensive for all our meals throughout our stay. Prices are reasonable and commensurate with the on-call service till late night. Ingredients were fresh and dishes cooked on order only. The food reflects the native lifestyle deliciously, we tried almost everything on the menu! Service was impeccable and the staff were ever ready to do their best to make our stay comfortable and memorable, at the same time affording us absolute privacy. Met with Marc who is very welcoming and shared with us about the efforts of the resort collaborating with the locals such as the nearby Kampung Telokdalam who were invited to the resort for a performance by an Indonesian troupe on Christmas day. Marc mentioned that next year 2025 would mark the resort's 20th anniversary! Thanks Marc and staff of Mutiara Beach Resort for a most memorable and enjoyable vacation stay!

I am truly in love ! I have just arrived and I don’t feel like leaving this sanctuary anymore. Please don’t change the natural beauty of this this place. Thank you for the relaxing weekend.

It is a hidden gem for city people to enjoy very raw nature retreat! So relaxing for mind! Of course, the owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. I onboarded the ferry successfully within 1.5hours to Pinang port , coz owner helped to fetch me halfway meet the pickup car. It is a nice resort with warm & real hearts. Thank you!

Such a wonderful few days spent at this magical little place. We are a family of four, 2 kiddos aged 10 and 11. We thoroughly enjoyed taking pause and enjoying nature in its most beautiful form. All needs are catered for; the rooms are well appointed with everything you need to be comfortable including mosquito nets and fans. Waking up to the sound of the ocean was such a treat. The food was fantastic- great variety and excellent value. We also paid a visit to the spa and staff were friendly and accommodating with the children. Finally - the beach - just spectacular! Beautifully clean and very private. Thank you to Marc and all your staff - we would love to return!

A very nice resort operated by friendly and attentive staff. If you like earthy, minimal and close to nature kind of places then you will love it. The food is amazing specially I liked Dabu Dabu fish. Fresh coconut water is available anytime. They help to get taxis for tour of the island. We will definitely come here again. Thanks for the amazing service and kudos to the entire team managing the place.
