The exceptional service provided by the staff was the highlight of our stay here. We arrived late at night and the staff brought us straight to our room to complete the check-in formalities so that our children could sleep. The room was large and clean - we had booked a heritage room with twin beds which worked very well for a family of four as there was one large bed in the main area and then an annex with another bed for the kids to sleep in. Breakfast was delicious with a wide range of foods available and the chef and other staff were extremely attentive, even going out of their way to cook a dish for my husband which wasn’t on the menu. Very good value for money, I would highly recommend.
Maidens Hotel in Civil Lines is one of those rare gems in Delhi that beautifully preserves its colonial charm while offering all the modern comforts. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by stunning heritage architecture, grand high ceilings, and a sense of calm that makes you forget you're in a busy city. The rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished with vintage pieces, and come equipped with all the modern amenities one could ask for. What really stands out is the impeccable service — the staff is warm, polite, and always ready to help without being intrusive. The food is another highlight, with a good mix of Indian and continental options, and dining in their outdoor courtyard adds to the overall charm of the place. The hotel’s lush green lawns and serene ambiance make it feel like a peaceful retreat, ideal for those looking to unwind. Though priced at the higher end, the experience, elegance, and old-world luxury it offers make it worth every penny. If you want a stay that combines history, luxury, and tranquility, Maidens Hotel is definitely worth considering.
My wife and I stayed at the Maidens towards the end of our Indian trip so we were getting tired. The hotel was an oasis and the amazing staff, pool and hospitality was a welcome tonic compared to yet another US brand. Yes, perhaps our room had seen slightly better days but it was spotless, huge and well appointed with character. Maidens is well located in a good/quieter neighborhood, close for sightseeing. The photos on the website don't do the hotel justice. Our biggest memory are the staff as they all seemed to care, even though they had a no tip policy! Would love to say we'll be back! ?
This was our first stay in India and a welcome sight after a long day travelling. We were greeted with a warm welcome even though it was the early hours of the morning and shown to our huge room. The rooms are very traditional, as is the entire hotel given it's colonial heritage, so do not expect any modern touches. But everything is clean and tidy and all you could really need. There are two restaurants, both of which are very nice and the hotel has a fantastic pool area. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
