Kashmere Gate, New Delhi, Delhi, 110006, India
I visited Yamuna Ghat in December, and it was a serene and mesmerizing experience. The highlight of my visit was the sight of Siberian birds flocking gracefully over the river, creating a magical and peaceful ambiance. The calmness of the surroundings made it a perfect spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. Though polluted but I also enjoyed a boat ride, which cost just ₹100 per person. The experience of gliding over the calm waters while being surrounded by birds was truly unforgettable. The ghat is a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you're in Delhi during winter, Yamuna Ghat is a must-visit spot for its tranquil charm and stunning views. I’ll definitely be back to witness this natural wonder again!
There are thousands of birds you can meet in the sunrise moment, winter time only. The boat owner is very honest and helpful. Me alone use his boat with 2 people serving me , cost 700 rp. The owner is very friendly and kind, who can speak little English but works.
Yamuna Ghat, especially during the early morning hours, offers a surreal experience. The serene atmosphere, combined with the tranquil waters of the Yamuna, creates an almost meditative vibe. It's famous for the mesmerizing sight of migratory birds, particularly seagulls, that flock here during winter. Watching the birds soar and glide as the sun rises is truly magical and a dream for photographers. However, the area does face challenges. The river is polluted, and the surroundings could use better maintenance. The narrow access roads and occasional crowding can detract from the experience, especially during peak hours or weekends. Despite these drawbacks, Yamuna Ghat remains a peaceful retreat for nature lovers and anyone looking for a quiet moment in the bustling city. Best to visit during sunrise for the most picturesque views!
