Japan, 〒107-0052 Tokyo, Minato City, Akasaka, 3 Chome−18−1 ホテルリズベリオ赤坂 1階
The room size feels quite large for Tokyo! We enjoyed our stay here and really enjoyed our funky little room - ours had a glass wall into the bathroom that you could pull shades down over for privacy, and a TV hung right at the foot of the bed. Family staying on another floor didn't get this type of room and had more bathroom privacy, but I'm fairly certain we booked the same room type. The location right in the middle of Akasaka is great for night life, and close to a lot of convenience stores and a subway station. Despite the location, the hotel is an oasis of quiet and cleanliness. The staff was always very helpful and helped us get our luggage transferred with a QR system that didn't require any paperwork from us at all. There is complimentary coffee in the lobby but one of the machines didn't work during our stay unfortunately! There are two lifts here and the building isn't too tall, so the wait is never too long.
The hotel is in a great location close to the station and local restaurants. The hotel itself is quite nice. However upon checking in I was asked to pay an additional tax (only about £2), which I thought had already been paid when I booked this place on Expedia. Breakfast options are in the restaurant next door, there are 6 options but only 1 option is vegetarian. All the options were tasty except for the Japanese breakfast which was surprisingly poor. The rooms are small, though I was expecting this to be the case. The shower facility is excellent, warm water and great pressure. Air conditioning was decent, though on hotter days (about 21 degrees) we found the A/C to be lacking a little. The bed was comfy and every night was a good nights sleep.
We recently visited Tokyo and stayed at the Hotel Risveglio. We were extremely happy with our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit. It was in a great location with a short 2-3 minute walk to the nearest train station, there were plenty of restaurants around us and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. The room was definitely on the smaller side, however this didn’t really bother us. The bed was super comfortable and the blankets were like sleeping in a cloud. It was pretty easy to get to as well and our rooms were always cleaned promptly. When we return to Tokyo, we will most definitely be staying again.
