Great location and good access to shopping, food and transport. Room was a bit squeeze but had everything we needed, even an iron which was handy. Quiet room and so close the Nishiki Market which was such fun. Good breakfast for Aussies which was appreciated as it can be tricky in Japan. Washers and driers were a bonus and a great guest lounge with lots of freebies. Loved their signature scent downstairs.

Great hotel with super convenient location directly exiting into a semi-indoor shopping street, with a convenience store just downstairs that also has a direct entrance connected to the north tower for guests. Coin laundry available on the second floor in the spacious and clean lounge area. They also have an amazing all-you-can-eat breakfast with unlimited salmon roe and eel, in addition to a variety of other foods which makes it worth the price!

Check-in and check-out were very quick and easy using the self-service kiosk. The staff were polite and helpful. When we checked in, we joined the hotel’s membership program and received a small welcome gift — a very nice touch! We booked a room for three people. Third bed was the sofa. There is no space around the beds, and there wasn’t much space to open our suitcases. Still, the hotel was extremely clean and felt like a solid 4-star stay. The location is excellent. Compared to our previous visit to Japan, this hotel had a much more central location. We didn’t need to use buses or public transportation at all. There is a 7/11 right next to hotel. We saw the breakfast at the hotel and decided to purchase it — we really enjoyed it. They make omelets to order, and if you’re open to trying Japanese cuisine in the morning, this is a great opportunity. They even served eel for breakfast! If you become a Fujita Members guest, you can also get a discount on breakfast.

A very well run hotel, the room although small (which is common in Japan) was perfectly comfortable and functional with all amenities you'd need for your stay. It is conveniently located right on the market street, with multiple convenience stores and restaurants around and is a very short walk away from the main street where multiple Kyoto city buses can be hailed, connecting you to everywhere else. A short walk in the other direction gets you to train stations where Kyoto subway and Hankyu lines run. It is also just a 15-20 min walk to the main Higashiyama area and the walk is pleasant with multiple shops to check out on the way.
