We stayed here for 3,5 months while working and found friends for life! The staff are truly amazing and are what makes the place, as they’re always trying to ensure the comfort of the guests. I don’t like leaving one-star reviews, but sometimes they are well deserved!

I booked 3 nights at this hostel but was only able to stay for one due to a series of issues.
The first problem was that Jetstar canceled my flight, forcing me to arrive in Brisbane a day later. I understand that this was not the hostel’s fault. A girl at the reception told me that if I decided to extend my stay, she would try to help me recover the lost night.
The second issue was the cyclone alert on 06/03. The government decided to suspend public transport starting from the evening of 05/03, but I had to be at the airport early in the morning because my visa was expiring on 06/03. Given the situation, I asked if it was possible to get a refund for at least one night to cover the cost of a hotel near the airport. My request was denied, which was very disappointing. I understand that it wasn’t the hostel’s responsibility, but it wasn’t mine either, as it was a natural disaster. This attitude made my experience very negative, and I will definitely not return to this place.

P.S. Sleeping in over 30 degree heat without ac is just as unbearable!

You know, I’m not going to say much here. It’s pretty fair for the price. I would say that this is more of a long term worker hostel than your weekend stay. It’s definitely hard for the staff to keep up with the kitchen as a lot of people don’t really clean up afterwards. Bathrooms are actually decent. Rooms are definitely long term. So I can see how it would be difficult to keep it tidy.

Minus the people making sweet biscuits in the bed next to me till 5 am… it’s not to bad. I wish they would keep the 50 person room to long term stay only. No the weekend drinks looking for a place to make biscuits till 5 am.

My experience started well with good service until the moment I saw the room. I paid 46 AUD for a four-person room without air conditioning, just an old fan very noisy and the wooden floor was damaged, causing me to have an accident and cut my foot. Please don't come here.

Its ok.
Room is an oven. If you are not blessed with having a fan blowing air on you, you are cooked. I think there is an air flow issue or something.

Another issue (but minimal) is that people do not wash their dishes. I have never seen it that bad. I woke at 6am and I found a mountain of dishes. Seemingly the staff do not enforce it.  I feel bad for the cleaning team. The place might have great vibes according to many comments, but no ethics.
